I just did a clean install of the latest version of both the Server & Client.
Previously I had MediaPortal standalone playing with both cards working perfectly.
I had excellent Digital TV, Analogue TV & FM.
The installation of the Server/Client combination went without incident too.
I watched the videos and pretty well did exactly what it suggested.
[I have to say MediaPortal has the best setup help I have ever seen anywhere!]
I had digital TV server up and running over the network in a few minutes.
I only wish that the installation of analogue TV & FM went as well.
Both of these have resisted every effort to get them working.
When I try to launch one or the other I get the following responses:
Analogue TV: Unable to start Timeshifting - An unknown error has occured
FM Radio: Unable to start Timeshifting - channel not mappped to any card.
The latter statement is, of course, not true. All analogue channels were mapped to the analogue card [in the TV server setup] and the corresponding area is blank in the client setup area.

I would hazard a guess that these problems have occured because the software is looking for data from the "local" install rather than from the "server" but why this is happening for the Analogue card and not Digital one mystifies me.

Note: Autoscan of the analogue card did NOT work. I manually entered both sets of connection data for TV and FM in exactly the same way as I did in the standalone version. One worked, the more recent attempt apparently did not.

Hopefully I will get some suggestions from somebody about fixing this setup problem. I guess it is a bug but there is bound to be a workaround.

I have a ATI 550 and a Hauppage PVR 150mce and both don't go. At first the ATI came up as not being a radio tuner. I added the Hauppage and it could scan radio, but did not work. Both seem to scan TV but I don't have an ariel to test it properly, I use a Skystar 2 for TV.

It seems the hauppage is now a non radio card in the latest SVN. My guess is that FM radio isn't supported yet in the TV Server yet. At the moment it's the only thing I miss from the standalone MediaPortal.

    Hi,
Been testing this today & there seems to be a problem with analog radio & TVE3.
Can you re test with latest version & attach TVE3 logs to your posts.
    Tested with PVR150MCE & HVR1300MCE.

    Regards
    Roy
