Re: [Android] aMPdroid 0.6 - Android Remote Control

Yow Diebagger,

Runs super on my 8 inch APAD, allthough you have not (yet) implemented full tablet support.

When i (and my daughter who will handle the camera) have time for it, we will make a short video, showing how it runs on a tablet IMX 515 and then post it here (or a link to the video)

Am also working on a new home-screen ( back to very basic icons ;) )

    Short-Info:

Archos 7 home tablet (7" touch) internal memory 8Gb.
works good and fine so far.

good and low cost tablet (139Euro @ Conrad - Ihr Online Shop für Elektronik, Computer, Multimedia, Modellbau & Technik)
and it has a longer accu runtime than the Odys
    and a faster CPU (800Mhz) ... Android 2.1 Eclair.

    Question @ DieBagger:

is the "flip-feature" planned in future?
(turn around display feature ... don't know how it is named - sorry)

IT looks awsome on Acer A500, gut I've the Problem that I can't start music playback. I can just choose "Download".
It works fine with my Samsungphone.

The play on mobile will be available when the download has finished... Direct streaming is not supported yet.

If you mean landscape mode then yes.

A small statusupdate: The new version is pretty much ready for release... There have been a number of string changes, so I would ask the translators to update the language files on aMPdroid | String. | myGengo so they can be included.

A few things that got fixed/added:
    • Better handling of client configuration (basic/advanced)
    • Added default views
    • Enable fast-scrolling with first-letter popup
    • Setting to choose how many items are preloaded
    • Updated to work with new GmaVersion (supports proper sorting now)
    • Added translations: Dutch, German, Danish (French is WIP)
    • Fixed streaming with vPlayer not working

Managed to compile the svn and what should I say: It's awesome. The fast-scrolling with first-letter popup is a incredible feature.

Will test more with streaming, that should be the next incredible thing. Many thanks for your work.

    OMG

This is totally awesome. Super mature already.
    Great work.
With live streaming this would totally be much better than Air Video (which i love).

I've ment, that tere was no "Play On PC" Button, but I've fix the problem (don't ask me how I did that).

Could it be, that tere is ab problem, witz two android remotes on one MePo PC?

The "play on pc" button will only be there if you are connected to the remote control plugin (mepo in the lower-right corner is glowing).

I have used Air Video back when I had an iphone and it was a great tool. I would like to have all their conversion capabilities in aMPdroid but there has to be the backend for it first. Oxan is working on transcoding afaik and as soon as that is ready I will look at adding it to ampdroid

Not for now and it's not high on the priority list.
