I want to warn all people running SVN builds that you can't do a mix-and-match of aMPdroid, services and WifiRemote versions. At least the services are broken once in a while, apart from the API changes that makes them incompatible with older or newer aMPdroid versions. Please don't post bugs or request support for them as we probably already know that they don't work.

It wasn't meant personal but more in general

I have debugged ampDroid and figured the problem out.
ampDroid uses the device date/time to request epg data, and my device had the wrong date

fixed.

Great that you've found the problem I still think that this isn't something that should happen, even if your devicedate is wrong, so we'll (probably DieBagger ) try to fix it.

Here is another set of logs. I did not manage to get anything to play this time. Got as far as the TV Guide in the TV EPG, but could not even get the ply stream to enable. Then I tried to watch an episode form my TV Series, but never even got to the list of TV Series'

This may be a stupid question, but what is a TV4Home service? And what is Windows Home Server? And how do I install the TV4Home service? I have a single seat installation.

Everything else is explained in the documentation, but that TV4Home stuff is weird. Never heard of Windows Home Server.

The TV4Home Core Service is a service that makes your TV Service available over the network. The confusing thing is that there is also an unrelated add-in for Windows Home Server which is available for download on the same page. You can download it here. Do NOT choose the recommended download, instead choose the TV4Home CoreService (Update: 16.07.2011) for your MediaPortal version.

In general: We're working on a much simplified setup process for the next version - you simply select whether you run singleseat or multiseat, execute a single installer (or two for multiseat) and everything is ready to go. Till then; just ask if something is not clear.

Which functions are already available in the App? I've installed it (version 0.8 from the market), but only the remote seems to work.
When I try the other buttons in the app I get an message "not available yet" or "username and password" incorrect. Username and password message is shown when I try the TV button, Music button and movies/videos button.

What i've tried:
I read something in the wiki about changing the username and password that GMAwebservices uses. I opened services.msc and added the correct username and password to both GMA and TV4 service. Added both to the setup of Ampdroid but the message still appears.

Is there something I'm overlooking? Some username and password setting I didn't see?

Where you set up the connection to your Mediaportal PC in ampdroid, the username & password must be admin/admin, not a windows logon/password

At first (before I posted the problem) I had no authentication activated in the plugin Wifi remote.
As I understand your (Heina) post correctly I should fill in the username and password with admin (both).

In the App Ampdroid itself I've changed the username and password aswell to "admin". Now I don't get the message "username and password incorrect" anymore but when I open a feature (like EPG) it keeps loading the groups and nothing is happening (waited a few minutes). I do get a very brief message (It goes away within 1 second), it says something about not having setup groups in the TV service. I have all my channels in the group all channels. Opening the recordings feature worked, although it took about 5 minutes to load (I have maybe 20 recordings).

Opening a feature like music in Ampdroid results in nothing happening (keeps loading a minute untill the screen turns off).

All in all, the remote functions (pause/play, stop and home) work very well but all the other isn't loading at all and in some cases it takes a few minutes. I still think I'm doing something wrong. I've tested the links for GMAwebservice and TV4Home, they both work fine.

Is there any other option that I'm overlooking the should speed up the responsiveness of the app?

I have the same. I've tried to change the username/password to something else. But there is not any difference. Remote works like a charm!

Hmm... I've had it too once. Maybe it's a problem that only happens in The Netherlands? ;-) Anyway, could one of you post logfiles of GMA and a logcat of aMPdroid? I can't reproduce it anymore...
