Nice looking forward to this i have a viewsonic viewpad 10s, also known as the advent vega and point of view mobii with a resolution of 1024 * 600 would be great to take control of mp with this beatifull device

    just bought a samsung Galaxy S, I will get it next friday from the store.

    im so looking forward to test your app !!!

    is it very difficult to open ports etc so i can set recordings, etc from internet when i am out of home?

    The biggest problem is that there is no authentification built in (yet). If you have win7 running, you can easily setup a vpn though to which your android phone can connect to. This way you have great security out of the box... ;)

    VPN? you mean using something like hamachi? or something buildin win7? any link to look into ?

    It's the same for Windows 7... It's completely bizarre, the android vpn client is not able to access the windows server 2008 vpn server (I tried for hours) but can connect to the win 7 vpn server without a problem.

    Yes, but a) it's gonna be an early alpha so don't expect a fully featured, stable product and b) keep in mind that it's an ESTIMATED Time of Arrival... ;)

    :D i know, just saw the ETA of 1.2.0 is set at 14th of this month. So for this to try i would atleast have to wait another month. then i'm going to try a different remote for timebeing and will look back at this project in due time, because (it has been said many times now) it really looks VERRRY promising!
