...To the guys who (like me) think about moving from Meedio to MediaPortal: Is there need for any other of my Meedio plugins (the *2C series)?

From the guy (like me) I thank you for bringing over your C.all plugin. Could you list these other plugins and a brief description of each?
What was a "datafeed" in Meedio is the "GUIPropertyManager" in MediaPortal: a perfect way for plugins and themes to share data and notify each other about data changes. The GUIPropertyManager is not yet used as consequently and as structured by MediaPortal (and its plugins) as the datafeeds were in Meedio.

Anyway. The *2C plugins created those datafeeds. The MP versions would create GUIProperties, which had to be utilized by yet to be developed plugins.

Clock2C - defines properties with current time and date in a customizable format
Outlook2C - defines properties with data and events from Outlook (not Express). Usable for birthday reminders or mail notification.
WinMessenger2C - defines properties with data and events from Microsofts WinMessenger. Usable for "User xyz is online" notifications and "User xyz says 'Hi!'" messages.
MotherboardMonitor2C - defines properties with data and events from MotherboardMonitor. Usable for "Your PC is about to explode" messages.
ExternalVariables2C - defines properties based on data from certain webpages. The pages have to be in jaLCDs format. Usable for stock tickers, weather tickers etc.
ZoomPlayer2C - defines properties with data from ZoomPlayer. Overwrites the properties from MyMusic.
WMP10Player - was just a finger exercise and wont be continued.
iMon VFD Interface - will probably be integrated in C.All. It sends data from the C.All repository to iMon VFDs.

I'm not sure if and how these plugins can be converted. But since I needed only one day for C.Mee/C.All, it might be a simple task.

Hi!!

Ok, here i am :D I have developed for linux HTPC Systems and now i thought just develop for MediaPortal.

Here is my dev list:

LYSS
Let Your System Speak

( Text-To-Speech but i have seen someone is allready in progress with this )

Better Music Library
I love your Music Library but i miss an treeview with the first letters of all Interpreters. I have over 40,000 MP3s and it take very long to find the right in the listview. btw i think i will change something in the OSD-Keyboard.....just write like on your mobile telephone ( or is there something like this allready intigrated????)

Easy Application Luncher [DONE]
Just an other version of your Application luncher...easier i think.
I need this for lunch my Games :D

Creative MP3 Player Support
I need something to copy my MP3s on my Creative Zen ;)

ICQ Support for MP (in progress)
Just use MediaPortal as client for the ICQ Network

So, that are my first projects.

    My Explorer continued...

If Gucky62 doesn't mind, I'm going to resurrect the "My Explorer" plugin.

I'm going to add the ability to select folders, as well as select files.

I also have in mind a "synchronise/update/diff" feature that will simply copy or move new or changed files from the source to the destination.

    Cheers

Gucky62 left this project and turned to linux.
So please go ahead improving myExplorer plugin.
New options would be great. :)

I suggest you jump on IRC and talk to the MP devs - there have already been plans for auto-installation of plugins, configuration etc. to be integrated into MP as a 10-foot interface.

Not exactly sure what your plugin is, but i reckon you should check just so you don't duplicate any work.

My Traffic plugin is in development. I have little to some experience in programming and I am new to C#. Expect to see me posting a lot of questions, haha.

The plugin will pull images from highway traffic cameras on the Macdonald-Cartier Freeway (Highway 401) in Canada, Ontario. If I am able to get it working well, it should be easy to do it for other locations.

    My Anime plugin

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forums, as i am to MP.. i tried it last week...
loved it so much that i started programming a plugin for it :D

So, i started this week developing a "My Anime" plugin for media portal.
The idea is to have a database and catalog, and have the series grouped, including all movies, OVAs and episodes on a series.
The idea is to have your entire collection, no matter where your files are, in the listings on MP, and when you select an episode or anything, MyAnime tries to find your file, if its in a hard drive, plays it, otherwise, asks you for the correct CD or DVD where the file is located.

Currently, the project it's only the parser for the site to get information, it can search and present the results, and get basic information about the series (I'm still working on parsing the character list and seiyuus)
I still have to figure out the database format that MP uses, and try making the GUI part of the plugin.. but i'll start later with that.

If anyone is interested in this plugin, i'll keep you posted about it's progress.

Comments and ideas for the plugin will be much appreciated :)
