Hi,
If I understand this correctly, MP needs to do some parsing to the live streams on the timeshift buffer files, when they're created, and then subsequently on channel changes. What I think this means is that the TV server creates the buffer files very quickly, but the delay I suffer (about 9s on HD channel first tune and about 4 seconds on channel change) is due to MP (presume TSReader.ax?) needing to parse the data first to get information about the stream before it can be played... My question is can this parsing time be reduced? Do you need to have the full header data to start the stream?
Just idle thoughts while I try to make my system more efficient.
Cheers,
Chris
