Problem:
Mediaportal is freezing 2-3 seconds every 10 second or so, and i cant figure out why. I have a fresh installation. No thirdparty plugins installed,
Tried to change from Windows XP 32 to Windows 7 32 and 64 . Same problem.
Tried different versions of nvidia driver and problem is the same.
Also tried to install DirectX 9c November 2008 but it didnt help.

Im just asking if there is someone else running Mediaportal on ASRock ION 330 ??? Does it work for you?
How did you manage to get it working?

I can also add i have the same "freeze" behavior even in configuratíon app.
BUT!, only after i have selected plugins in the left list.

Is there anyway i can get logs from this ?
I have checked the error.log and Mediaportal.log and there aint any errors there.

I Solved it :)

This problem is gone when i removed the TV-Client plugin. THe thing is that i havent connected my TV-server to the lan yet. So, when i re-installed MP with no tv plugin all works great.

Gonna plug in the TV-server to the lan now and re-install again with TV suppport and try again ..

--------------

Update.

IT works great now, as long as the TV Client can connect it works. If a turn the TV-server off, it starts freezing again,.

Must be a bug, and i cant be alone with this?

Still thinks its a problem that should be classified as a bug. What if my TV-server is booting or i need to turn it off for some reason, then media portal shouldnt behave like this.
The connection attempts should be threaded and not cause MP to freeze IMHO,'

FYI: i did disable it in the plugins section, still the same problem.

I dont have the problem anymore since i installed TV-server on another machine. SOLVED!
