Gigabyte MA69GM-S2H

I can confirm aswell.

I'm running a system with a Gigabyte MA69GM-S2H and a clean XP install.

Catalyst 7.11 --> Hangs
Catalyst 7.2 --> Working
Catalyst 7.11 with flipY removed --> Working

I can recommend search-and-replace-master for fast removal of the flipY. :)

Cheers,
P

    Then there is no reflections used in skin, right?

    Could any dev please tell if this is ATi or Mediaportal's "fault"?

    Yes, there is no reflections in the skin. But anyway, with Catalyst 7.2 you does not have it either (with "normal" skins with flipY). It does not freeze but it does not show reflection either! Today you have no chance to see reflection with a x1250 with 690G chipset.

    So there is no argument to use 7.2 for me. USE LATEST CATALYST WITH MODDED SKINS! (modded=flipY completely removed) So you benefit from the much better drivers (like much better HDMI and Avivo support)

    Modding a skin manually takes about 10 Minutes! Make windows explorer search of the skin folder with "flip" in file and open the found .xmls with notepad, make search for "flip" and remove them, save, finished. Remove flipy=true and flipy=false (simply delete them). Or use the tool suggested by pkfa, with removing flipy=true and flipy=false.

    i hope mp team corrects this issue!

    I will test my setup with some directx games and report if there are such problems with them = means no mp fault, but ATI!

    As per pkfsa post i upgraded to 7.2 and this looks to have resolved the issue for me.

    Could someone UL their modded skinfiles (removing/renaming "flip").

    Come on people! UL your what skin modified skins - and tell what skin it is. This way we could create a zip-file that includes needed files for most skins. It's all about sharing :)

    DEVS: Any thought to "who is to blame" here? (ATi or Team MP)

    The source of the problem is ATI (bad driver) and/or the developer of the mainboards (bad driver/BIOS for the onboard chipset). No one of the MP developers has anything to do with it.

    Don't know if this because of other problems in my system, but I have reported the error this is discussed here, and I'm using a NVIDIA card. So I would be more cautious to blame anybody for this issue.

    My original bugreport is in TV crashes with unhandled exception and another user with NVIDIA has reported the same error on his system.

    Yesterday I switched back from NVIDIA driver 163.75 to 84.21 and will see, if it happens again.
