VBOX DTA-150 Not working?

Got the latest rc2 of mp and a just bought vbox dta-150 and am getting the unexpected graph and auto-tune not supported errors. Fresh install of the mp software after wiping prior directory no help.

Here's the device id info from device mgr:
PCI\VEN_11D1&DEV_01F9&SUBSYS_A15014F3&REV_03\4&13699180&0&4048

XP with all patches, ati x1300, amd 64 1gb ram

Anyone else having issues with this card with rc2?

ATi X1300? This isn't the problem with the tuner but that wouldn't happen to be an X1300 with 128 bit memory buss clocked at 500Mhz would it?
If so, that card only has 8GB/s memory bandwidth. Microsoft says HDTV requires 10GB/s. I'm not saying it won't work but it's a definate possibility.

If it's an X1300PRO then it will probably work.

The definition file is not correct for the DTA-150 on RC2. If you want to get it working with RC2, you'll need to do a slight mod to the capturecarddefinitions.xml file. Find your DTA-150 in the file and find this entry: name="VBox TV Tuner (DTF8600)" and change it to name="VBox TV Tuner (DTF8600 - ATSC).

If you get it working, I'd REALLY like to test some things with you. SPecifically, I tried a fresh install last night with the latest CVS Build (02 20 06) and autotune is broken. I imported the channels from my working install but still no joy. I'd like to compare logfiles with you and get some concrete information to the devs.

    xml config file change worked

deleted and re-added the card after making your suggested config file change and autotune worked fine for me albeit slowly ... let me know if you still want my log files for comparison. :D

    Yes, autotune is very slow.

Are you able to view, record and timeshift TV with your Vbox?

Are you using RC2 or a CVS build?

Just a little update to my own personal HDTV saga.
I set up MyVideos to point to the directory with the HDTV recordings I made.
Playback of the stuff I recorded under WatchHDTV works perfect.
I'm guessing the bandwidth issue has to do with buffering and recording through the Microsoft engine. Once I can get another HDTV card I'll give it another try. Worst case I have to record with WatchHDTV.

The latest ATi tools identifies my X1300 as having a 128 bit buss. Since that has been updated with the other fixes to support this card I'll assume that the 64 bit info was wrong. Now that I've overclocked my CPU and graphics card I'd like to try HDTV again. In a couple weeks... I have to move soon.

BTW, the first review of the hypermemory version of the X1300 cards seem to indicate they are pretty close to the same speed as non-hypermemry versions. They were even faster in 1 test.
That could mean some very cheap video cards with decent performance will hit the market.

SO I've been testing a little bit with a Fusion 5 Lite. At this point, I am very discouraged. The Fusion drivers are utter, utter crap. They crash SageTV, they crash MP, they crash my entire HTPC.

I've uninstalled it from my HTPC, and as soon as I get the time, I'm going to remove the card and put it in my testing rig for more exhaustive testing, but all I can say at this time is: I am not happy at all with my Fusion 5 Lite. Terrible. Just terrible.

FWIW, I ordered a 2nd Vbox DTA 150 for my living room HTPC. There is no way in hell I am putting a Fusion anything in my main HTPC ever again.
