Hi!

Within the Mediaportal Configuration there is an option page with settings for the ripping of audio CDs.
But I can't find a menu in the GUI where I can start the ripping process.

What I have tried:

1. Insert Audio CD
2. Navigate to the CD within the music section of the GUI
3. press F3 or F9 and look for an "import" or "rip" option
4. can't find it

Does anybody know, what's the right workflow?

Nice to here that I'm not the only one who doesn't know that.
At my last try I thought it's because he hasn't found data for this specific music cd which I tried.

Did you setup the ripping section of the configuration tool? Do you have lame encoder in your path?

I have configured the ripping section, but no LAME is installed separately. Is this the solution?

Which versions are supported?

Hmm, I posted from memorsy from previous versions of MP. I now checked my installation and there is no path option for lame anymore, it is directly located in the c:\Program Files\Team Mediaportal}MediaPortal directory. So I guess it should work.

Try contect menu on a track (I have not had audio cds in my htpc for a loooong time )

Same for me, too.
I'll tried ripping a cd 2 days after 1.2.0 release (which means 1.2.0 was installed) and I haven't found an entry in the context menu nor in another menu in the music gui. Only forgot to post it in the forums

When I open the options menu on a track of a CD there is a ripping entry.

But it does not work. When I chose it, nothing happens and I can't find any entries regarding ripping in the logfiles ...

Why not try MediaSlayer plugin?

That is an option, but the function of ripping should work in MP as well without plugins

I agree thatMediaSalyer is a good solution, but ofc the iunternal ripper should work - and it does

In short:
Music -> Shares -> Select CD -> Import cd-info -> Right-click-meun -> Import
(Just tried this with default skin).
