I don't know if this is an issue with MP or codecs or my PC. Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Since 1.4 preview (did not notice it in 1.3)... We watch any rec program on the HTPC (client/server)... if we manually skip several times through the program, although it is not consistent as to the number of times, the audio stops, but pressing pause will always bring it back.

I'm currently trying to get it ti repeat for the logs.

Finally was able to get the issue, a couple times toward the end. This was not set up for testing, but was under regular use. I could not get watchdog to collect the logs .. got an exception getting the TV Server logs... so I just ziped the logs folder. Also saw another issue at the end when deleting a recorded program ... I did not get the yes/no dialog, the file was just deleted.

I hope these are useful, sorry for all the extra stuff in the zip.

As far as I can tell from the logs the audio decoder or renderer is having problems (it seems to be consuming a lot of data, but presumably not producing any output).

Are you bitstreaming AC3 via SPDIF ?

If so, have you tried it without bitstreaming i.e. decoding it and then sending PCM over SPDIF ? (just to see if it behaves differently)

it is going over SPDIF, whatever the TS is sending. I have not done any additional decoding that I know of. I'm not sure how to set that up... I'm old and lazy (mostly lazy). Like I said, I never had the issue in 1.3, but I was using a different decoder (not LAV) on WinXP.
