I don't think this is correct - the path should be c:\program files\team-mediaportal\mediaportal\xmltv - or whatever you set the path to be in the Configuration (television > TV Guide).

Also, what confirmation message do you get when you select "Import Guide"? You should get a confirmation that it has imported x number of entries....

yeah i put it in the correct directory, the first time i tried to import it went through the whole process said it grabbed a couple of hundred shows, but didn't show anything, subsequent tries came up with tv guide import failed no channels found

It sounds like the channel names in your tvguide.xml file do not exactly match the channel names that you have listed in MediaPortal Configuration?

I assume that you are using TUGG, or DUGG?

Also, make sure that the file "xmltv.dtd" is in the same folder as your tvguide.xml file.

Can you post the first 10 lines of your tvguide.xml file here, along with the names you have listed in MediaPortal Configuration for the channels?
