    MP 1.1.0 BETA & W7

Im having a hard time getting:

    NINE HD
    NINE DIGITAL
    GO!

to tune in. Ive got three tuners in the PC - two pinnacle and one Leadtek, and none of them are seeing any of these channels. Ive tried ADELAIDE, ADELAIDE FOOTHILLS, ELIZABETH, and AUSTRALIA ALL REGIONS and none of the tuners are picking them up.

All the other channels tune in fine - SBSHD, ABCHD, ABC2, SBS2, Ten Digital, 7HD, ONEHD - no problem at all

No issues with signal reception - I have an outdoor antenna and a signal booster. The tv picks them up fine. [edit - see post below]

Ive never had this problem with MP before. Tried some manual tuning but no luck.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

    Anyone know of a fix?

    Hi,
Although I'm in Townsville QLD, I'm having the same problem too. The thing I find strange is that when I run either MCE or Pinnacle TVC Pro 5, these channels work fine. I did notice, however, on TVC that when I was on Nine or Go!, the information panel would say: Signal Strength 100%; Signal Quality 0%.

After reading some forums it is suggested there is a problem with my signal. Perhaps. But I do find it hard to believe that it is a signal problem because why else would other software and digital tv (standalone) work fine on this same antenna?

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

DEFINITELY not the signal. I have MCE on the same machine which I fired up today and it picked them up fine. I then plugged another HTPC into the aerial running MP 1.0.2/Vista, and it picked them up no problem

what version MP and OS are you running?

Same problem. The only fix was to use 1.0.2. They tune fine then.

Perhaps the tuning parameters are off? I tried search Brisbane and All Channels and had no luck.

1.1 Beta and WinXP. With and without latest SVN. No Channel 9/HD or GO!

I can confirm that 1.0.2 also works fine. Not sure why I tried the beta but the latest stable picks up all Nine & Go! channels.

Thanks for the help. For what it's worth I'm using:
    Windows 7 64-bit
    Pinnacle 3010x
MediaPortal 1.1.0 Beta (One-click Install, standard values most of the time)

Well that is all weird because I have the 1.1 Build without the latest SVN running and I have picked up NINE, NINE HD and GO!... By the looks of the bug thread it seems this only affects tuning? If, say, you were to export your settings then re-import on the "busted" MP version that didn't detect the channels, they should work?

All I know is mine is working (for the most part) so I ain't touching it!

something about channels 125 hz off frequency not being detected. could depend on region and whether the local transmitter is doing this or not.

I couldnt agree more. "if it aint broke, dont fix it" may well be one of the wisest and most useful maxims when it comes to HTPC's :)

    G'day there Guys

Well i have the same problem since upgrading to the 1.1.0 beta. except i first noticed it because not only would it not scan the channels it would also not tune them when recording.

Im also running a pinnacle card that has the issue. (seems you are too)

If i change the frequency to 191625 from 191500 then it tunes as it should.. the wierd thing is that i have 5 tuners in total, 2 old hauppauge nova-t's one compro videomate t200 and this pinnacle 3010iX. The other card tune fine but the dual tuner pinnacle doesnt seem to be able to perform the offset on 191500 and 536500. I know there is a workaround..

But is there a fix in progress?

Anything i can do to trouble shoot? seems wied its pinnacle related (and i have tried the black gold compatible driver too)

EDIT just to add insult to injury, by changing the xml file the Hauppauge card wont tune the changed frequencies as they are performing the offsets correctly.

    Thanks

    Steve
