once you get it worked out can you please post what u did and what u need to get it working. Im like u and would like the recorded episodes to automatically be detected in TV series.

In actuall fact I am using epg stream. This is the epg data that I find does include episode and series numbering (at least for most programs that I watch anyway) .. but.. as previously explained, the xmltv data provided is as follows

<episode-num system="xmltv_ns">0.25.</episode-num>

but needs to be changed to:

<episode-num system="xmltv_ns">0.25.0/0</episode-num>

For the episode data to be picked up correctly.

If you are saying that you use epgstream and succesfully pick up the episode data for MP TV-Series without modification I would love to here more about your set up to see why mine wont work this way.

If you can get tvseries to pick up 0.25.0/0 through parsing expressions, then you should be able to do the same with just 0.25. You just need to learn who to write the parsing expression. MP-tvseries uses regex. It looks alot more complicated then it really is.
