    Hi
Henry Mac & Bavarian, this it's something else then the first loop (@ should probably be in a new thread) & it happens when you have scheduled a new event in MyTV, the first reading of hib & waketime it's correct but after "Scheduler:reload recordings" it fails to set a new hib/shutdowntime ;)
If you exit MP & start it again everything it's fine.

& it's the same with or without My Alarm enabled (logs from when My Alarm it's enabled)

    Regards
    Roy

Well it seem to be fixed but when the HTPC starts up (MP auto starts) the system will not sleep. If I exit MP and start it up again without reboot it works fine. Both logs attached.

Roy you are right, it is not related to the original thread issue. Should it be moved to a new one?

    Cheers,

    Hi Henry,

after checking your logs, I saw that there is an EPG update running which is preventing Powerscheduler to hibernate. Also in the restarted version it took two times longer to hibernate (due to the EPG update). :)

    Hello all

I'm experiencing a problem with MediaPortal 0.2.2.0 and the PowerScheduler plugin.

The problem manifests itself as a loop where MediaPortal will go to sleep on the PowerScheduler idle timer, and then wake up again within a minute, and then sleep on the idle timer again, and wake up again etc...

Below is a short transcript of events and also a ZIP containing my log files.

FYI, I have the idle timer configured to 3 minutes and pre & post record values of 5 minutes each. PowerScheduler is configured to put the PC into S3 standby.

    Code:
20:08:25 Start Mediaportal (No existing timers)
    20:09:36 Create new Advanced timer (BBC News 24, 20:25 - 20:55)
20:09:47 Return to home screen - idle
    20:13:11 Auto standby

20:19:04 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    20:20:11 Recording in progress /// Pre-record 5 minutes
    21:00:00 Recording has ended /// Post-record 5 minutes
    21:06:13 Auto standby

21:07:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    21:10:42 Auto standby

21:11:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    21:14:41 Auto standby

21:15:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    21:18:42 Auto standby

21:19:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    21:22:42 Auto standby

21:23:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    21:26:42 Auto standby

21:27:02 Auto resume (Showing home screen - idle)
    21:30:42 Auto standby

    21:31:02 /// Ad infinitum

    Two bugs stand out:
    1. Technically, MP go to sleep at 21:03 and not 21:06 but this is only a small thing :D
    2. MP definately shouldn't get into the hibernate/wake up loop.

Let me know if you need any more info.

    Thanks

    Mark

Now I have the same problem, since a few weeks. I use TV Server and Mediaportal RC3.
I have today install my OS new.
But the problem still there. The TV Server go in hibernate mode and wake up after a minute automaticaly and then after the idle time out, he go in hibernate..... and the up and down..... :-(
    what can i do ?

    Hi,
You say TV server, this bug reports & fixes it's for clean MP without TVE3, make a real bug report in that part of forum with system specs & logs.....

Also make sure that it's not a hardware related bug. Usualy when system wakes up without any reason from standby it's caused by some HW or driver (or driver setting).
