I got the cursor visible constantly too now on 1.0, while other players hide it.. I have no idea why but I didn't change the language, in case it helps finding the fault. Logs are empty during playback but if you need anything I can fetch it.

Same here, *so* very annoying... ;(

Since upgrading to the RC1.0.0.0 version in March I also have the mouse pointer constantly on the screen.

In RC3 it used to fade out.

Currently using WinXP SP3, VM9 video render.

    Any solutions for this issue?

I have also been wrestling with this one.

What somewhat fixed it for me was to enable mouse pointer trails. The pointer now hides immediately while playing videos. It still stays visible on the menus though.

windows Control panel -> Mouse -> Pointer options -> Tick "Display Pointer Trails"

    OS: WinXP SP3
    Mediaportal v.1.0.0.0 svn-04-02-2009--11-27-Rev22162
Graphics: ATI Radeon 4350 Driver version 8.591.0.0

I am using the SAF configuration for video codecs.

    PS:
You may also try to change your mouse cursor to be completely invisible (see the attachment), this is only advisable if you can navigate your mediacentre 100% without a mouse. I also suggest you enable "show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key" in the mouse pointer control panel before making the pointer invisible.

I'm still having this problem with v1.02. I have had it since 1.0 and have been upgrading along the way. I am also using Windows Vista Ultimate with an ATI graphics card (in case that matters). All latest OS, Video card, etc updates. Any of the devs have any clues about this? Its quite annoying to have to turn on the keyboard and move the mouse off to the side every time I turn MP on.

I finally just gave up, installed a fresh copy of vista, MP101 and no problem since (knock on wood)

I'm waiting for the day I come home and that stupid little arrow is back though :p

Ironically I just had to re-install media portal because it kept crashing on startup after a windows vista spontaneous reboot. Now the mouse disappears as it should. Go figure...
