I think this was just the switched artist name so in your database The Smiths is actually stored as Smiths, The which unless you undo that does not work.
Please try via the MusicInfoHandler GUI binary attached so see if you get data now

I've tried running this in the regular Music browsing mode first. For The Smiths, I got "No artist found" so I went to the MusicInfoHandler screen and tried again and now I get results. To make sure this wasn't an anomaly, I then went back and tried The Roots in the Music section again but no dice. Back with option two again I get the results I want for The Roots, so this revised .dll works to sort the issues with artists with the The prefix I suppose.

I only just found this thread a few days ago and am playing with the plug in, very nice so far. One question though, one of my albums that comes up not found is one that I have tagged as "Volume 4" by Black Sabbath. Looking at AMG I see it's listed as "Black Sabbath, Vol. 4".
Could we add the ability to search via an alternate name? So, in the GUI, I right click the album name and select 'search for artist/album' and it comes back with a 'not found'. If we then had the ability to search for an 'alternate' name, I could enter it like it's found in AMG and get my match, without having to update tags or filenames. Kind of like what My TVSeries does, searching by 'custom name'

Can not get information about the Russian artists, hand-produces "information not found" does not find a gun, too, but the entries in the log file error I have found.

Appears Russian bands aren't on there

I think for the Russian (Cyrillic names) must be done before looking for transliteration.
Or search for Last.fm ( http://www.last.fm/music/Владимир+Высоцкий ), so I can not find information on a group of Space, finds: http://www.allmusic.com/artist/space-mn0003052845 and http://www.allmusic.com/artist/space-mn0000004955 but not something that we should http://www.allmusic.com/artist/space-mn0001811373

I was looking at another method anyway which part works...

I was planning on moving to last.fm but they have just changed (http://www.last.fm/group/Last.fm Web Services/forum/21604/_/2201974) which kind of makes the last.fm data useless for biography
I was matching space the other day but I was looking for the second one anyway so it worked
Not sure why the third one is not picked up (I am fairly sure it is because if you search for space on their site that band does not appear on page 1)

Updated MPEI to v 2.0. This is basically the test version posted above with a few small fixes
