I've reworked this script so it can do the same job, no matter what url you have in your DB. The script searches for "Original Title" on IMDB, gets the ID and goes to themoviedb for backdrops and also cover (configurable).

Let me know if you are interested. I must do some tests using my own DB, and clean code.

    bye!

Well... this way I've just had to copy&paste some IMDB.ifs functions... :p

But I'll see tomorrow what I can do. It seems so simple... :p What's more, I see many films that exist on themoviedb, but there's no imdb id linkage...

    bye!

Edit: Ok... I've got working the script querying directly to themoviedb (really faster!) based on "OriginalTitle" and matching also "Year", so it's quite sure wee'll get correct Fanart. I'll leave it working tonigh against my db, and see results tomorrow.

    bye!

I have just remembered that a api key is needed to do searches in themoviedb. I have one, I can send if you want

he's just using mine probably (which is in the script)

then you should add the imdb# on themoviedb

Sorry... I understood that the api_key was valid for any script inside AMC... so I could use api_key inside original themoviedb script... Please tell me if I'm doing it right, or I should ask for a new one.

I discovered themoviedb.org yesterday... :) So I don't know many things. I'll read a little bit more about the API, and about updating the db with this kind of info.

    bye!

PD: Script worked quite well this night. I must go film by film that didn't get backdrop to see the cause, anyway.

I've asked themoviedb admins for a key, but didn't receive any, yet. Anyway, If ftothe3 lets me, I can make available my script with his key. I've finished debugging it, and I think it's working quite well.

    bye!
