hm, like ibmonkey wrote, some pics are displayed correct others not.
in my case only ONE pic is correct (translation OTHERS).

in the submenus are backdrops, as well as for tetris, sudoku, etc.
i know the configuration from StreamedMP and had no problems with it.
but here i am missing several details.

browsetheweb has entered the main menu (plugin configuration) but can not be found in the avalon-menu-configuration.
and no matter what picture i try to pick out: it is blocked by another process :-(

hm, i must have another look at the configuration menu.

but what about the scaled pics, looks not good for me !?
maybe there is a solution?

*haha* i am playing around for a year now with MePo.
all kind of problems solved, special tuning, remote mapping and so on.
and now i find out that there is a homemenu and a basic-homemenu.

okay, in the basichome everything worked fine with the backdrops now.

although i dont like the division of the screen in basichome.
there is not so much space for the backdrops because of the space for "new added" on the right.

anyway.

but what about the stripe (wrong scaled backdrops) under the menu, the stripe also appears in the basichome !?
the skin ist so clean and beautiful, it messed up the design :-(

The file BasicHome.FanartHandler.xml (in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\Avalon on Win7) contains the definitions of the backdrop containers. You might try to reduce the height of the containers (you have to change all of them) maybe from 660 to 659 or something even less.

Since it is probably a rounding issue with the skin scaling to your resolution (what are you using? Changed the display calibration?), removing 1 line will probably be enough.

Oh, btw. You can have backdrops in the standard home screen, but they need to be named as the plugin defines them. Also your menu edits (in the aVAlon menu editor) do not affect this home screen. I prefer Basic Home as I can freely define main and sub menu points in the editor.

if its work i post my answer.

yes, its nice to edit the menu with the streamedMP editor.
only the splitting of the screen is not so nice, a big part of the backdrops are behind the menupoints :-(

Re-inspired by Grooves12's idea ( )we decided to change the design of the viewport slightly. A small portion of the fanart will become more visible. We hope to cater the die-hard fanart fans a bit more.

You want more fanart? Why not try Cul8er's Avalon Mod when its released. Or hope for a new fanart skin from our team.
