Works a treat on the A16AR hybrid

Great job! I was hoping there would be a plugin to access my avertv remote in mediaportal!

One thing, the power button is currently mapped to close MediaPortal, would it be possible to add a feature to be launch other exe's. The reason i'm asking, instead of closing mediaportal via the power button, I would like it to go into standby instead.

It wouldnt be hard to write a little app to but the HTPC into standby, just need a hook in the plugin to launch the app. :)

Cheers

Dan

There is an error in the AVerTV_New.xml file.

The code of the Fast Forward button should be
<button name="YELLOW/FAST-FORWARD" code="30960">

My |<< and >>| keys aren't working neather. The strange thing is that they are giving different codes:

because the lParam is more then 1 number, I can't just add it to the wParam to get the code to put in the xml file...

To the developer,
how is it possible to get it running under vista which doesn't include the averap software?

how does the plugin find the location of the avertv path?
would it be possible to just write a reg entry and copy the xp dll to that path?

or does it actually use the registered dll?
if that was the case wouldn't you just copy it to the mp directory (as assembly startup path) or the plugin's directory?
don't have time to try all possibilities but i'm guessing you know how it calls the dll..

Old Aver TV card

Hi!

Did you manage to get the TV card itself work on MP?

Fran

OK, I can now confirm that the AverTV remote plugin also works with the following:

TVCard: AverTV (M168-U) [U.K. Version] Conexant bt878a card
Remote: AverMedia A2 Remote

Card Drivers: Driver878_V5370_XPLogo (from Avertv431 - see post above)
AverTV Software: Version 5.00

MediaPortal Version 0.2.1.0
AVerTV remote control plugin 0.3.5.0

Very nice job Alex, rated your plugin 5/5 on the downloads page :D

Now all I need to figure out is how to get the TV card itself to work in MP and I'm laughing

Hi!

I got these cards working on MP (v0.2.2):
AverTV DVB-T 777 PCI (A16AR)
AverTV hybrid PCI (A16AR)
AverTV hybrid+FM cardbus (E506R)

The remote (RM-FP) is working ok, although maybe too sensitive, in all of the cards with this great plugin from Alexplas.

No I haven't managed to get the TVCard working... besides my TV arial got blown off the roof in a storm, luckily it missed my car on the way down, so I'm stuck to crappy "bunny ears" right now! :p

I've given up on the AverMedia remote and switched to a Microsoft one as well. The MediaPortal plugin is great but windows/other programs either don't know about or don't like the AverMedia remote so I switched to something which will hopefully turn out to be a bit more useful.

M168

Hi

Thanks for your answer. My TV card is none of the ones you mention, but an old AverMedia AverTV (M168).

Gracias,
Fran

I installed today the latest svc (with MP v0.2.2.1) and I get a message in the configuration telling me that this plugin is incompatible with current media portal version and it won't be loaded.
I think we need an upgrade of the plugin. Or what should I modify in the plugin to make it work in this version? I would like to know so that I don't have to wait to get the plugin working every time a new MP version is released.
