Impressive. A few things:
1.1 you forgot to mention the possibility to display DVB-IP TV. (but it may need some tweaks to work completely...)
3.8 Personally I prefer to use the LAV (6) filters instead of the MS DTV/DVD decoder. (just put everything on LAV) Also, you can directly select your audio renderer, I used this when I used to use two different soundscards. (one for stereo, one for 5.1) When using bitstreaming, you have to enable this in the LAV audio settings.

Always tough to do comparisons or even a setup guide that everyone understands, so the work you have done on this is really appreciated.
I'm another convert to LAV since it was introduced, especially for audio, but the video rocks, especially if a Nvidia gpu installed
Just also got to add with the other additions ATI and Intel graphics also now supported, with their own specific advantages, so no one is left out

Just a quick update
I have now got agreement from AVSForum (the american equivalent of AVForums) to add my guide as a new sticky on their HTPC section of the forum. The thread has now gone live: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1410346 and it should be made a sticky later today when America wakes up.
If anyone has any suggestions for how I can tweak the guide to make it better for American users (specificically for Live TV and EPG data), then please let me know. I plan on going through their old MP Install guide and getting as much Live TV and EPG goodness out of that and then port it into the AVSForum guide over the next couple of days/weeks.
The old sticky had over half a million views, but was 2.5 years out of date, so hopefully this new thread should refresh MediaPortal's capabilities to a large audience!
