I have to say since installing the 2.0.4 update my Videos also all display a blank screen after playback (xVid, WMV, etc.). Pressing the "green button" to go home solves the problem though for me.

So, it worked fine with 2.0.3 but not with 2.0.4. Perhaps there is a problem with not refreshing the GUI after playback has ended which is solved by calling a different page and thus forcing a GUI update?
i can not confirm this issue.

have you tried a clean installation of 0.2.0.0 again?

do you have this issue with latest svn too?

thanks for the tips re ffdshow, unfortunately it still hangs on MJPEG files even with FFDShow installed.

and you have installed ffdshow with support for MJPEG???
    are you sure?

on every system i have tried this it worked flawless. (~10 systems i am maintaining were effected)

do you have any codec-packs installed?

which other codecs have you installed manually?

Yes unticked "all" codecs except MJPEG, I will retry when I get home tonight and retick the extra codecs that are still ticked on your screenshot and see if that works.
No other codec packs are installed, but will try on the HTPC as it is still clean in this regard.

    thanks :)

Just to report back on this. Installing FFDShow and enabling it in MediaPortal fixed my AVI problems. Thanks infinityloop!
