I have just finished the setup of my new TV server.

Asrock Q1900-DC (DC means I can use my old notebook power supply).

    1x4GB DDR3 1600MHz
120 GB OCZ SSD for OS and for central thumbnail cache for TvPlugin, My Pictures and My Video
1,5 TB + 2 TB HDD for timeshift and files.
3x USB DVB-T tunner + mdapi + smart card reader

It can serve my 4 clients.

Too expensive (for me) at the moment but may be later.

No. I just want to share my experiment with you because you asked if the J1900 is enough for TvServer.

I made a test and it is enough for streaming a HD channel to android device with HD profile, so the J1900 is perfect for me. :)

Where can we use this? I think MPExended use own build of the FFmpeg but I am not sure.
FFMpeg is used as nuget package, with the version 2.0.1.
only replace the ffmpeg binary, and modify the setting "profile"
    https://github.com//MPExtended/blob.../Config/Data/UpgradingTests/Streaming.xml#L36
    replace "-codec:v libx264" by " -codec:v h264_qsv"

Quicksync is also available on VLC
    https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=113579
    https://github.com//MPExtended/blob...Config/Data/UpgradingTests/Streaming.xml#L101
    replace "venc=x264" by "venc=qsv"
and don't forget to install Intel MEdiaSDK library, and update the driver GPU to the latest.

but this change seems easy to do ... try lol
