Hello.
Here are the Skin Files. 3 really small .png for the red and green lights and one xml File. A readme.txt how to install and setup is included also it's not that complicated.

First download and install WOLPowerManager.
Enable and configure the plugin in Media Portal Config to fit your personal need.

The provided Backdrop Skin files has to go to the Skin Directory.
After install you need to add a single line to "BasicHome.xml"

<import>basichome.overlay.WolPowerManager.xml</import>

Copy and paste this line near to other "import" lines of your basichome.xml file.

Enjoy and don't forget to thank jojo1411 and seppi2204 for this cool plugin.

If you change your basic Home menu with the Editor you have to add this line again after generating the new basichome.xml. If you later decide not to use WOLPowerManager there's no need to revert the modification as nothing happened at all if the plugin isn't available.

I don't want you to get bored so I thought I would let you know about what I've been playing around with tonight

Basic Home screen

I have changed the BasicHome screen so that when InfoService has focus I get a different image (as per the screenshot below) - it just makes it easier for me to know that the RSS feed has focus, maybe it's only me that needs this but I prefer it this way...

I have changed the common.overlays.xml so that the "now playing" overlays disappear just like the clock etc does on the BasicHome screen - would it be difficult for you to add this as an option to the Menu Editor?

That's pretty much it for tonight

+1 , yeah marked elements are sometime really hard to see (or I'm just blind )

Good to see I'm not the only one having a problem with telling which item is selected sometimes

Something else I have noticed - to recreate:

1. Play a video

2. While it is playing go to BasicHome

3. a) Stop the video playing - the screen jumps to the video screen I played the clip from then jumps back to the BasicHome screen
OR
b) If it's a shot clip just let it end.

4. Try using the menu at the bottom of the screen - in my case the image for the submenu's (& the highlighted item bar) don't appear but the text does - see pic below.

Note: I have tested this using the standard common.overlays.xml file (I'm pretty sure it's the standard one that I backed up before I started playing with it!).

Anyone else getting this?

Thank you all for your feedback but at the moment I'm happy with the current way selected skin elements are highlighted and have no intension to change this, sorry. This may offcourse change in the future if I find a good solution.

About posting skin mods;
Thanks, this is very much adding value to this skin and I like it so please keep it coming, BUT please start a "Backdrop Skin - MOD" thread and put your modified skin files there. This thread is getting bigger and bigger at I'm starting to loose control

I hear what you're saying, I've been there! suggestions are fine but at the end of the day you want the skin to look like you want it to! All good, but would it be possible to add the above backdrop change (or a different image if you prefer another one) for when InfoService is selected? I think having the backdrop change fits the theme of the skin and it will save Users from having to add it manually every time they change the BasicHome screen.

(Note: I "borrowed" the above image from the Avalon skin but I'd say it's available online....)

Keep up the great work! I'm about ready to move backdrop (and MP 1.2b) onto my live setups... (is MyFilms supported yet?)
