Hi,

Thank you all for your feedback but at the moment I'm happy with the current way selected skin elements are highlighted and have no intension to change this, sorry. This may offcourse change in the future if I find a good solution.

About posting skin mods;
Thanks, this is very much adding value to this skin and I like it so please keep it coming, BUT please start a "Backdrop Skin - MOD" thread and put your modified skin files there. This thread is getting bigger and bigger at I'm starting to loose control

Please don't misunderstand me, the skin is one of the best that have ever seen.
The selected skin elements are highlighted, that's right. But the highlight is not enough and the difference between
highlighted elements and normal elements is too low.
Perhaps You can change the transitions of the background bars to a little bid darker.

That looks good to me Have you still got the darker background behind the menu? it's hard to tell in the pic (and I like it..)

I can't say what the others mean regarding it being hard to tell what is highlighted but for me I find it a bit hard to tell which item is highlighted in the menu bar on the BasicHome screen This might not be a problem when I get backdrop up and running on my live HTPC because it has a lot more power than my laptop so hopefully the sub-menu will appear faster...

I've got a question - a couple of the "latest music" covers that show on my BasicHome screen don't have any Artist fanart associated (or available) so I get a black background when they are selected - shouldn't a "default" image show?

Also in MyMusic (Shares) when I come across these albums I get fanart for assorted artists if I "focus" on the album plus in the Album/Songs view and "Now Playing" - I would have expected the default music image to show Having fanart for other artists seems strange to me but maybe that's just me - what do you think?

This will also have the same kind of highlight as displayed in the picture a few posts above (as well as in all plugin menues).

This depends on the settings in your FanartHandler. If you unchecked the "Enable Default Backdrop" in the "Music Fanart" tab in FH configuration you will get the skin default background. If you have this option checked and selected the "Use specific image..." you will get that image, and it you have selected "Use folder when..." then you will get random images from that folder.

Better, much better.
But visibility is also dependent on the background. On brighter backgrounds, it would be better,
if the list gets its own darker semi transparent background. Then the visibility on darker and brighter backgrounds is the same.
In the home screen the visibility should be even better.

Version 1.0.1 of this skin is now released (download link in first post of this thread is updated). Latest version of FanartHandler is included. This release contains bugfixes, the new menu editor supporting startup parameters for several plugins and a more distinct "selected item" background. I have included the weather change and rss background change from Bleazle and the support for WOLPowerManager indicators on basichome supplier by Lehmden.

Hope you like it and please keep reporting any issues or improvement suggestions.
