But I think it is strange that I only get a good picture in MS MCE on the same computer..

It is as i get the same quality picture whether mce\MyTV\TVE3 but then i am using EVR under filter settings with Vista anyway.

Have you got another pci slot free, can you move card to it and retry, sorry chances are you will have to retune.

Asking as it may be something system wise that is not effecting windows as such.

ps, what graphics card are you using.

Seems to be a problem with the signal quality after all... or??
The picture I have attached shows how my signal looks just after starting timeshifting, but after few seconds the quality drops down to 20% A bit strange dont you think??
Again the first time I turn on tv the signal quality starts at 100% and then goes down to 20%.
Turn on and of 2-5 times the signal still starts at 100% but stays at 100%.
My signal should be allrigt. When I watch analog tv from the same provider with the same antenna the signal is 100% fine and sharp picture and all. So I think there is a problem with the tv server with my card. (Hauppauge Nova-t 500).
Any suggestions why.? I am pretty sure that my signal is ok.

Just tried to move the tv card to another pci sloth, remove all drivers and reinstall - NO CHANGE

My graphic card is a ASUS N7600GS SILENT AGP8X (My computer only runs 4X) http://usa.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=3593

Been doing a bit of research on the T500 this afternoon to see if there was a fix for MP's standby issue, and boy what a mixed bag i found, from cards that actually were faulty and physically failed after resume, HW not the driver (maybe 1 or both tuners), to bad signal issues (again these proved in some cases to be faulty cards).

Also a variety of failures with Windows itself, mainly after doing a update.

Might be worthwhile RMAing the card and getting another to try.
