If renaming to MKV helps (haali source filter gets used) then the bug should be in TsReader.ax. Please upload a sample that can be used to reproduce the issue and lets hope that Ambass has some time to look at it.
Renaming to .MKV will make them being played by the codecs set in the video section, while all .ts files are being played by the codecs set in the TV section!
I have problems playing .ts files with MP 1.1.0 RC1 on HD 4350 h/w. The problem does not show in MP 1.0.2 or with NVIDIA ION h/w. I solved it by changing to the ATI codec for TV, but I don't like the quality of playback.
If I use graphedit though I can see that .ts files are rendered outside of MP with exactly the same codecs specified in MP, but I get stutter free playback outside of MP.
Could i suggest to you guys to have a try with this custom directshowhelper.dll... in my system it has fixed all stuttering and frameloss on digital tv hd and sd.
that dll fix more than reclock use on my system, that customization make my system stutter free without using reclock.
the user that wrote this dll just change the way how MP sync the frames.
it requires just less than minute to have try, just rename your directshowhelper.dll in your mediaportal folder, and copy that into. Start MP and see the results............
Tried your alternative file and it makes no difference, still lots of stuttering with any .ts file. This is regardless of whether it's live tv, recorded TV (using non rtsp mode) and also any .ts files played from my videos etc. All of these things play fine outside of MP. I have 4 clients in total and this is the only machine that has this issue. I even re-installed Windows 7 on it on the weekend and it had the issue with a clean install of MP 1.1 rc2. The only difference really between this client and the others is that this client only 100mbps network connection whereas the others have 1gbps. All machines have ATI graphics.
