So if I rename the channels from the HDHomeRun to the correct callsign, it will automatically map them to the correct guide information from SchedulesDirect. Correct?
    Correct. :)

Now for the 2 other Analog tuners, I get about 75 additional channesl but this time they only have numbers (2-99). Is the only way to get those associate with the correct guide information to rename them to the callsign?
No I don't think that is the best way. These channels are encrypted cable channels that you're getting from an STB, yes?

No these are unencrypted analog stations coming in over cable that can be tuned by the Adapatec analog tuners. WHen you scan for channels, it identified the channels that actually have a signal and lists them with the tuner but they only have a number (no callsign) and thus don't get any guide information associated with them

Seems to me that the ideal option is clearly:

First, for any MP channel that has:
    - at least one tuning detail
    - is unmapped in SD terms (ie. external ID not yet set)
    ...
    2. Match SD "local lineup" channels to MP analog [cable???] channels by MP channel number <--> SD broadcast channel number.
    ...

Why do I say that? Because analog channels in MP are scanned in with a channel number (which is also copied to the channel name). SD *should* be able to match this easily with the broadcast channel number.

In order for that to work, you have to meet the following condition:

NOTE: for (2) and (3) the SD "allow channel number mapping" option must be enabled *or* the MP channel tuning detail must have a non-zero frequency (as well as the channel number).

Your MP channels won't have a non-zero frequency, so you need to enable the SD "allow channel number mapping" option for that session. Note that I'm not sure where that option is or what its exact name is - the name/description I'm using comes straight from the code.

Please let me know if you manage to get that working. ;)

Working with the USB-UIRT developer, I think he now has a fix for using the USB-UIRT via IRSS and Eventghost simultaneously. So with that dll, I can now change channels on the stb successfully from MediaPortal. Getting there slow but sure.

So now I can focus on the correct way to get the channels into MediaPortal and connect the channelsl to the program guide coming in from SchedulesDirect.

Perhaps this is an issue with SchedulesDirect so that might be the best forum but for now...

When I scanned in the analog channels, I did specify in the scheduleDirect PLuging to match on channel number. The option is in the ScheduleDirect pluging configuration under the Advanced Tab. THe text is specifically "Allow EPG Channel Mapping by Channel Number Only"

I can try disablling the adaptec analog tuners then reanabling and rescanning the channels to confirm if needed. I will try that tomorrow

Regarding the HDHomeRun channels, I tried renaming them to just the callsign, selected guide update on restart, restarted the tvservice. Unfortunately that did not associate the guide informataion with the channel. perhaps i am not doing something correct here.

Just deleted and rescanned the channels on ONE OF my HDHomerUN tuners.

HEre is an example. The HD versrion of channel WFXS gest scanned in as WFXS-HD. THe callsign for this channel is WFXSDT. Not unexpectedly, this channel doesn't get associated with any guide data. So in Channels portion of TVServerConfig, I change the channel name to WFXSDT using Edit Channel (perhaps this is not the correct place to make the change) restart TVServer, set Force guide update but still do not have not channel guide information.

Dumb question: does "force guide update" also update the mappings as well as the data for channels that are already mapped?

Unfortunately it only seems to update the channels that were originally mapped and not the one coming in from the HDHomeRun.

Later today, I am going to try deleting the channels and rescanning them. Then confirming what is showing up in the log. This last go around, I couldn't see and references to the HDHomeRun channels in the tv.log file even thouhg they were listed in TVServer.

I just checked my SD plugin settings. In the advanced options tab, I don't have anything checked except the very bottom item (Additional Options). The name order is set to "(number) (callsign)".

I Rename any of my scanned channels in TV Server to whatever I want, and they show up that way in my Guide. In the order that I sort them. All the channels need to have their "Free to air" flag set (you may have to do it manually in EDIT channel).

I haven't had issues using the 2 HDHR's and channels not populating the guide.

    I only have OTA broadcasts.

I am in the process of starting over from scratch. I edited the channel names in the HDHomeRun Setup utility but I still have several channels coming across as Unknown. No problem if I can edit the name to match that SchedulesDirect. For somereason, the preview from withing TVserver isn't working correctly. I can hear the audio but no video; just a white window. I will chevck that freetoair checkbox. I am not sure I did anything with that option.

Started over from scratch. Installed MP 1.2RC. Schedules Direct Pluging for 1.2. IRSS with TV3Blaster Plugin,

Selected th HD-PVR and disabled other tuners. Configured that channels were mapped correctly. Added one of the HDHomeRun tuners, Scanned for channels. Renamed The HDHomeRun channels to the correct name is shown in schedulesdirect.

Restarted tvserver. channels didn't map. Rebooted. still didn't map.

Added the second HDHomeRun tuner. Still didn't map.

COntinued on and added the Adapte SD analog tuners. Scanned for channels. Channels come in with just a number. These channels won't map either.

I have attached the TVServer logs.

I did confirm that the free to air flag is set. I am using cable QAM and not OTA
