Best DVB-T card (1 Viewer)

Hi Sohvaperuna,

I used to have this Terratec card but it gave me some headache when it froze the picture after som 5-8 mins after a resume. Having said that a colleague of mine had no such issues.

I now have Hauppauge HVR-2200, which is also a twin-tuner card, and it have worked really well for me.

HVR 2200 seems interesting..

WinTV-CI does not support it right? Any ideas if it will be eventually supported?

Anyone know if there is any card (prefer twin tuner) which can have separate (prefer usb) CI which works with more than one tuner? And works with mediaportal also?

I got Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T 500 2x DVB-T PCI.
Problem is that in mediaportal, only one tuner finds channels. Does it mean that my card is in "wrong" mode?
Currently I have another problem and I cannot verify if the another tuner is really working, but atleast it finds the channels.
I know that in WinTV, I can watch TV. Not sure how many tuners it finds.

I installed diversity tool, but it says that it cannot find product.

My card has one antenna IN.

My drivers are latest ones from hauppauge site, 1.1F was some version, CD version maybe?

Strange, on my system it works pretty fine. I had MP 0.2.3, MP 1.0RC2 and now MP 1.0.2 installed on win xp.

Well, I suppose you use TVE 2 instead of TVE 3, isnt it ?

Then, I'm very happy for you, if it works on your system.
Are you sure both tuners are OK ?
Your logs could be maybe interesting, after entering in tv-server configuration, in manual control and click on start timeshifting on each tuner.
For my case,in a PC with other card, it doesn't work cause of no card lock.
Also, one tuner has positive signal strength where the other one has negative signal strength.
I have to do some hardware manipulations and also some MP code changes when I will have time, to see if card can work for me.
Otherwise, I already have a friend who doesn't use MP who is ready to exchange my card by a Nova-TD 500 card.

Pinnacle PCTV 2000i Dual DVB-T Pro 2xDVB-T PCI works just fine on my 1.1.0 Alpha and have been so since I bought it ½ a year ago.

Before that I had both the Hauppauge Nova 500 and the Terratec 2400i and they both worked fine, the Hauppauge didn't like the signal if it was too low, the other two cards is better in reception. The terratec is full-height and didn't fit in my new box, else I would have kept on to it, since the two other cards are "just" USB-tuners on a piece of plastic

And yes, pinnacle seems a bit better than hauppauge in reception.
Maybe they changed they hardware (I mean tuners) and we don't have same, then.
Because, it doesn't work for me and, I think I can say that I'm not too noob with computers, normally.
Also, I can see no tuner lock in MP, where it works fine with vendor software.
Weird, isnt it ?

I also read a test of the Hauppauge where they couldn't record more than one channel at the time, so perhaps the card just doesn't work correctly on some systems.

i have had mine recording 4 or 5 channels at the same time + timeshifting.
