Hi there,
i am now in the progress to move my whole NAS stored Moving Pictures Library from Windows XP to Windows 7 combined with an upgrade from MePo 1.1.2 to 1.2 beta.

What is the best and easiest way to do that? Can i copy the Database files cross the Moving Pictures Versions?
If this is the case where can i find the files and which do i need to move?

Or is there a special tool to do that? I simply want to avoid to scrape all the movies i now have in the database again, also because of my own Additions i have made.

Yes, you can copy the database files over and you will be all set. This will only work if you have not changed to unc path of your media though.

On xp, I believe the .sql file is located in c:\program files\team mediaportal\database

    Hi.
And don't forget to copy your Thumbs/MovingPictures Folder also. If you don't, all Artwork is gone...

You will have issues unless you edit the thumb locations in database for each movie because XP has different default location than Vista/Win7.
