Better recording scheduler (2 Viewers)

I'm looking for a better recording scheduler.

Many recording titles (at least in the UK) change between episodes, sometimes being prefixed "New:..." or containing the episode number / part of the episode name.

This breaks the simplistic scheduler in MP (and most recorders, MP is not alone in this), which is just matching on the whole title.

There used to be an excellent add-on (Argus TV, previously "For The Record") but is no longer maintained. Although still (mostly) works with MP, it requires the 32bit version.

Is there a better record scheduler as an extension or add-on?

There is a TV-Server plugin called "EPG Cleaner". It was written by an Australian MP user, so it probably solves the problems that Australian users experience, but may not address all of the problems that we have with the UK EPG. I have not used it myself, so I don't know how useful it is for the UK EPG.

Thanks for the suggestion however I'm not seeing that plugin (see attached screenshot).

Running 1.38, is this just available in MP2 ?

Thanks for the suggestion however I'm not seeing that plugin.

TV Server plugins are listed on this page, and "EPG Cleaner" can be downloaded from this page.

Note: I don't know what bitness the plugin has. It might be 32-bit, or it might be "any cpu". The plugin is not listed by the "MP Extensions" tool, so I don't know whether it has been tested with the most-recent MP releases.
