i'm trying to run this on my secondary display but it loses focus and minimizes making two displays worthless. This happens if you click ANYWHERE else but media portal. it's extremely annoying. also when it loses focus and doesn't minimize the controller stops working (which only a few buttons work to begin with). is there a way to customize a remote that didn't come with any drivers but the default ones Vista provided for it (the remote works perfectly in Vista Media Center. How do i make it stop losing focus and also remote it from the task bar which is pretty stupid to have on there as well.

I also have the issue of MP minimizing. Did not yet find a sollution, but a workaround:
Open MP in windowed mode and not fullscreen. Manually resize the window to fit the whole screen (still in windowed mode). Start your TV, Movie or whatever. Click on other screen and MP will continue.

you need to disable use exclusive mode under the MP config\directshow\vmr9 setting, or use EVR
