Black Screen for TVServer Client - Cannot view TV on Client (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have been trying to setup TVServer for clients on my LAN. At present I have TV working in mediaportal on the TVServer PC (Windows Vista Ultimate). I have installed the same versions of MediaPortal including the TVServer client plugin on 2 the client machines (1 x laptop running Vista and 1 x thin client running XP SP2 Embedded). Both clients successfully connect to the TV Server and I am able to browse the EPG.

However when I select a channel or TV show and press Play the TV screen remains blank (black) and does not play on either client. I also go to the TV Streams within MediaPortal on the TVServer machine and I can see that the channels are streaming to the clients that aren't working.

This is my first time using mediaportal including install and I am sure I have followed the instructions to the book and followed the tutorial videos.
The only thing I seem to be missing is a tab within MyTV called Groups but don't know whether this is not present in the latest release that I am using?

I have attached all the logs I could get. Any help would be great as I am dying to try MediaPortal with TVServer.

If you use SQL-Server, have you read this ?
1.) http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/TV-Engine_0.3/config-SQL-Server

2.) try with different codec on the client.

3.) If 1 + 2 do not solve the problem try MPTvClient

I had already tried 1 and 2 but that made no difference. I don't really want to use MPTclient as I need the full MediaPortal application for my media.

Any other ideas?

I finally fixed the problem...

The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Locator Service was not started on the TVServer machine.
