I had to do exactly the same. I tried the new SVN's but reverted to that exact SVN 16429 because of that issue. I use ts reader now as well with the txt file in the c:\

Are you using MDAPI out of interest?

As I haven't heard of it till now, I guess the answer is no I don't use it.

I'm now running 16525 and the black screen issue is resolved.

More importantly, I did another test on my remote MediaPortal client using TsReader and for the first time that I can recall MP did not crash. In fact it is now running great.
