Ditto. I've tried evrything I can think of, even using RAdmin to tweak settings, change the resolution etc, but nothing seems to make the screen come back on except a restart of Windows.

Doesn't happen every time, but it's definitely reproducible. Currently testing to see if it depends on the length of time I wait before resuming. (and no, I don't see how it could be either, but I'll test anything once!)

Well, thats seems to be an issue which many user experience perhaps a developer could make a little statement? : >

I have the same problem, somewhere between 30-50% of the time i either get one of the following when waking the PC up from S3 state:

1\ Same problem as described above - black screen, can hear remote 'clicking' sounds. If i do CTRL+ALT+DEL the Task Manager window won't come to the front, instead you can see it flashing every now and then in the background. But lack of mouse pointer means you can't get to it to kill MP!

2\ Worse problem.. after hitting Power On on the remote, PC fans come on but the TV does NOT (using VGA out on PC). At first i see some hard drive activity for a few seconds, but then the hard drive LED starts to flash feintly at regular intervals and the TV never comes on.

Only way to fix both problems is to restart PC.

I was wondering if there is a list of known bugs with MP stable release 0.2.0.4 or known problems with the Autostart plugin which could be causing my PC to not restart properly after standby??

I really want to know if any of the problems above are MP related or just a PC fault - could the PSU be responsible for problem 2\ above?

I don't use the Autostart plugin, so it's definately not that.

I use S1 for standby at the moment, and that works fine. It's just that the fans stay running all the time with S1. As soon as I switch to S3 I get the black screen 100% of the time.

    Hi,
The "Turn monitor/TV on when resuming....." option in MP Setup -> General should solve this issue (it's in the latest SVN or from a week back).
IF not post system specs & log after a hibernate/Suspend. Did this work in previous versions?

    Regards
    Roy

Tried that option and no luck.

My specs are in this post but the log files will take some time. I have to get to the PC when no one is watching or taping and that is hard to get :)
