Blasting problem with IR server suite 1.0.4.2 preview 3 (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I followed your procedure , it did solved my problem after adding the two files attaced to the ir server suite plugin directory ,the remote is back working again. thanks alot.

however my blasting problem is still exist , it always appears after pc restart or waking from stand by it blast the wrong channel i can even see only one blinks from the blaster itself it only transmit one digit instead of two. later the blasting works ok it transmit two digits fine.

i have a feeling that maybe it related somehow to the driver , this problem showed in every ir server and mce replacement version i had.

i am about to give up i don't know what else to do i can't count on it to record the right channel, i attached all the logs again from the new preview 5 version. please check again .

Hi,

I discoverd today that my IR reciever is SMK RXX6000-0141E can only work in windows vista (i found this info through google) , i manged to install it on XP pro sp2. do you think that maybe all my problems are related to this hardware , and if yes do you have any solution to it , i would like to continue and work with XP .

I think the Input Service is not restarting SMK devices correctly ... I'll add some more code to try and sort it out.

I'll post a new preview version of 1.0.4.2 in a day or so.

Hi Aaron ,

Any progress with the SMK solution ?

just wanted to let you know , i borrowed another device for one day checking (TSES-IR12) i think its a phillps device maybe, well i disconnected my device and connected this one , installed the driver and it worked like charm in the first try , all my restart and standby worked perfectly with blasting two digits to the STB.

so i guess if you can find a solution it will solve this issue for good.

I will have some changes in the next test version, but I'm holding off waiting for some issues in the recent MediaPortal svn's to get fixed...

If I had one of these devices to test with it would be easier, but I don't ... so there might be a bit of back and forth on this issue...

EVERYONE: If anyone in Melbourne, Australia has an SMK receiver they'd like to swap for a Microsoft genuine receiver I would be willing to do that ...

I would have released it by now, but I can't test it against recent svns because I can't get them to work.

until you manage to get an smk device for testing and solve it , if i move to vista OS will it solve the issue ?

is there any temporary solution for me that will allow the device to blast the right channel (for recording), i am willing to try more options what do you think ?

moving to Vista might help, because the device access method is completely different in Vista.

I've put in some changes for the next version of IR Server Suite to try and make it better, so maybe wait for it to be uploaded... I was going to put it on the forums two days ago but I'm having trouble with recent MediaPortal SVNs which is stopping me from finishing my testing.

If I can't get any joy from the MediaPortal SVN's soon I'll just upload a new test version anyway.

Just for testing i installed today Vista Home Premium Lite , installation went smoothly but after loading the first time i found out that the ehome infrared transciever has no driver i also tried online seraching but nothing , i was preaty sure that vista has driver built in for the remote , currently after looking the internet i still couldn't find any solution

I did try to installed your mce replacement driver for vista , but after the driver installation the red led in the transciever was lightning constantly so i guess its not suitable with it ,

do you have any solution for me so i can solve it and continue with the mediaportal installation .

"Vista Home Premium Lite" is probably the problem... but you should be able to get the required files from the proper Vista dvd and install them.

I'd post them here myself but I doubt Microsoft would like that.

Hi Aaron

I Decided to return to xp due to lots of problems with my sound card ,(by the way the IR server suites worked great in vista). as i said i got back my XP system and removed preview 5 , deleted all the folders and then installed the new testing version preview 6.

currently most of my remote buttons are not working only the green microsoft and few presets , the arrows stopped and another few buttons (just to remind you that i have SMK device).

if you can find the solution i will be able also to test if the smk device is now starting correctly .

I attached all the logs again for you so you can take a look .
