hmm, strange .. the logs suggest that everything is working perfectly ...

perhaps try the replacement driver and see if that helps ... this is very odd though ...

I'll try to see if I can get the vista access method to work on XP, maybe that will help some smk owners ...

Which version of the replacment driver you suggest that i will try ?

OK i found the replacment driver in the mediaportal site plugins ,downloaded and installed it , version 019 from feb/2007.

do i need to make a change in the registry like you mentioned in the threads or leave it as is.

it did restored all the buttons back so the remote is now functional again however the blasting still blast the wrong channel after standby or restart.
only one digits blast.

do you need the new logs can it help maybe ?

I'll take a look at the new logs, please include the mediaportal and IR Server Suite logs.

When using the replacement driver you don't need to remove the registry keys, but it won't hurt (or even make any difference at all).

I'll still try to get the vista access method working in XP ... if I can it will be the best thing way to use the device...

Hi Aaron,

Just wanted to let you know that i have afound a temporary solution that works fine for now, i removed the replacment driver and reinstalled microsoft driver back , then i restored the replacement plugin 1.0.3.1 from jun 2007 , i configured all the settings and did few tests , it seems to be stable and the blasting works fine after restart and standby , i noticed a bug from time to time that it blast the worng channel , but i think that i can live with it till there will be other solution. i really want to go back to your amazing IR server suite software.

in the meantime i also contacted my supplier and i am working on replacing the SMK device to other model that will eventually solve this annoying problem. i would like start and enjoy this software and also put more settings to control my audio reciever and maybe also use the macro option to start my media center and the reciever together.

i want to thank you for all the efforts you are doing ,for an amazing plugin you developed . keep the good work
