I have now more time as well.
Would love to help you to get WindowsPluginBase out of way.
I have problems with it in my development for flexible views

If you could do this I might find some motivation to finish this up..

I am on business trip now for the next 2 days and then i will have a look at your branch.
Maybe you could summarize what you still think is open? I was reading through the thread and think i have an overview, but you mist probably know it better.

Basically first post's ToDo -list should be up-to-date. WindowsPluginsBase is the only one with actual code changes and FIXMEs if I remember correct. I should once more check all references to WindowPlugins.dll in configuration files, installers, XMLs etc.

Ok, moved the music / video dependend code.
merged with latest master and changed the projects to .Net 4.0.

What else needs to be done?

I would say testing the whole build starting from creating an installer and running it. I was unable to find more references to WindowPlugins or WindowPlugins.dll, but I'm not sure if install scripts/configurations still need changes.

On my ToDo list there is MediaPortal.xml but I don't remember what this means :)

And of course bumping version for plugin compatibilities..
