I tried installing this but when I run dllfix, I get an error message reading "dllfix has stopped working" When I try to run HD starter from in MP I get an error message reading Could not start program! Configsection: [HD Starter]. If I try to run Hd starter just by clicking on the exe file, it works fine. I've configured it as your screensot says.

Running vista64 home premium and MP 1.0 RC4

Thanks

The same at my implementation. Vista 64 Home Premium and MP1.0 final.

I had to run the dllfix as administrator, if you right-click it is on the context menu!

Disabling UAC is a good step; I found it kept getting in the way - go to start type MSConfig and then go to tools select Disable UAC and click launch. You may also need to change your security center settings to stop the icon in the tray something like change the way secruity center notifies you .....

The plugin goes in the install directory/plugins/windows directory then patch with the dllfix.

    Best of Luck

OK, I tried downloading the latest dllfix, and tried running as administrator, with UAC disabled. I still get the same message when running dllfix, "dllfix has stopped working". It is in the correct locaton, if I move it somewhere else (the desktop)and I try to run it, it runs fine, it just won't run in the folder I want it to run in.

Got dllfix to run finaly, now when I click the HD Player button, it goes straight back to the home screen. No error message, just opens up the home MP screen.

Is there mayne anyway of editing the script to do something like I mentioned above - terminate the script on exiting PDVD? it is the only drawback, in that on returning to MP you cannot then run the script again without problems. This is the only drawback to the present solution.

Many thanks for any help offered.

For those who don't use a keyboard try this version of HD_Starter. The script now listens to an "#" key instead of an "ESC" key. Pressing the "#" button on the MCE remote ends PowerDVD, the HD-Starter and brings you back to MP.

I have installed your HD_Starter.exe. But what is the # button on my MCE Remote? is it the green button?

It's the button under the "9".

maybe it's due to different keyboard layouts. If you have an editor open (e.g. notepad) and you press the "#" button on your MCE remote, which letter do you see in editor?

    Thank you for your respond.
When i open Notepad, and i press the # on my MCE Remote, i see the # in notepad.
So that's fine.. Hmm.. this is strange. I really like this plugin, but i want to close PowerDVD and HD_starter.exe when i press a button (in this case #). is there something else i can try?
