i think your "Horten" problem is still related to the MPC source splitter.. maybe you should keep taps on the latest svn updates for this splitter and see if it is a known issue there (or is solved)

these are the two lines i hunt -

    MPC-Source
    and the BRHandler ...

but your 0.9.6 runs real smooth ....
all other BR i tested are running ...
(damm that i don't have "clash of the titans" anymore here :( - was also a (only) stutter-candidate )

so the MPC source splitter is my real target ...
    :)

    big thx again

    Hi,

i've got a smallproblem with the blu ray handler.
I have iunstalled saf 5.0 *unlocked* and the bluray handler plugin. After the installation was finished i added the m2ts, bdmv and mpls extension to the Video Extension list.

Now i could select the index.bdmv and the feature selection appears, but after selecting a feature nothing happens.

It's possible to start a blue ray out of mediaportal.

    THX in advance

Like stated in the opening post: You should be able to play your blu-ray discs WITHOUT this plugin (with the internal player). If that doesn't work, it's probably a codec/filter setup problem and that should be discussed in the Codecs forum to keep this thread clean and specific for this plugin.

I've installed this plug-in and it shows up under plug-ins. The blu-ray disc plays with PowerDVD. But I cant get the disc to play from mediaportal. When i click the DVD menu, I am told to insert a disc. Inserting the disc doesn't autoplay either. Browsing to My Videos shows an empty disc. I am running AnyDVD HD & SAF 5.00 too. Any ideas - this is prolly an easy one...

Ah, worked out I had to install "Enable BD/HD-DVD Support on XP " from http://moving-pictures.tv/wiki/Configuring_Bluray_and_HDDVD_playback

The blu-ray takes about 2-3 mins to load, then I get a list of 44 titles. This is normal? I'm guessing no menu, or changing audio streams during playback is all normal.

    hi biship,

for me it works best, when in video configuration "autplay, never ask" is choosen.
Inserting a BR then ( in background Any dvd is decrypt the BR) chose "play disc". There you got a list ( normally 4-5 columns, not more). I use to take the one indicating the longest time and press play then. That's it. I dunno how good any dvd works in background to enable hdcp-free playback, so this could be your 2-3 mins to load.
For me I use passkey from dvdfab for background decrypting. Atm it's beta and free and works fast.

This plugin is fantastic. Finally have an integrated solution for playing BD in mediaportal, thank you.

I love that it can't display the disk menu, they are always terribly bloated on BD titles. It's just straight onto the main feature which is great.

I have one question though, before using this plugin, if I played an m2ts file and stopped it, it would prompt me to resume from the scene I stopped it on. Now with this plugin, I have lost this functionality (I now use the index file to start playback), is there anything obvious that I may of overlooked?

The loading time seems a bit long (have you tried other discs?). Once you select a feature the default audio and subtitle stream are picked matching the default settings in MediaPortal. If you want to change the audio or subtitle language during playback you can bring up the playback menu (F9) and choose a different one.

Support for resume on My Video is a planned feature but if you use a plugin like Moving Pictures resume should already work.
