AW: Bluray Handler 0.9.7 (BETA)

i have tested many things and i think i have the problem found.

I have tested BluRay`s with normaly DTS Sound and DTS HD or TrueHD and BD`s with HD Sound won`t play.

I have SAF 5 and spdif to my AVReceiver but normaly ffdshow must using the Core from HD Sound and give it out on with spdif?

I have already written it previously in this thread.
This will only work if you use MPC audio decoder which comes with MP or the latest one from the MPC filter pack.
ffdshow or MS codec wont work here.
Be aware that SAF5 unregisters this codec so you have to re-register it manually.

Cheers,
grubi.

I have also problems with VC1 encoded blu-rays in MediaPortal.
MPC-Source always connects to "WM Video Decoder DMO" in such case. (without HW-Acceleration)

When I open a *.m2ts directly in Graphstudio it uses Haali and connects to my prefered Cyberlink.

But MPC-Source is not the real problem, because I can manually connect it in Graphstudio the right way.

So I asume your brilliant plugin has problems with VC1

Edit: Sorry for posting already known facts!

I think this is just wrong because I use the latest MP Version and SAF 4.0 but there is no MPC audio decoder available in the MP configuration, so I downloaded the latest MPC Codec pack from the first post and there is still no MPC Audio Decoder!!

please go in the mediaPortal dir und doubleklick the "MpaDecFilter.ax" and you have re-register it manually.

    @pünktchen:

??? Cyberling SP decoder cannot decode VC-1, it is MPEG-2 decoder only.

Of course you're right Hoborg. It was my fault, selected not the big m2ts file.
But the problem with VC1 is still the same:
Either with MPC-Source or Haali I can connect manually to MPC-Video Decoder. (Cyberlink I didn't find the right one)
So is it a generally problem with these source filters or with my windows 7?
Do I need WM Video Decoder DMO to play anything?
So I rename the file and all is fine...

    Thanks

If you will use SAF5, you will be able play progresive VC-1, interlaced is not supported (and wont be until FFmpeg add support).

The fact you don't see it not necessarily means that what I wrote is just wrong ;)

So you did not see an audio codec called "MPC - MPA Decoder Filter" from within MP's "Codecs and Renderer" settings?
Then open Explorer, go to MediaPortal root folder and look for a file called "MPADecFilter.ax".
If it is there then call regsvr32 MPADecFilter.ax and you should see the codec from within MP's "Codecs and Renderer" settings.
If the file is missing then copy it from the MPC codec archive and register it as mentioned above.

    Cheers
    grubi.

Yeah that was the reason why I didnt see anything in the MP config, after re-register it manually I could select MPC Audio Decoder, but this changed nothing to my problem. I'm pretty sure that "The Transporter" is too old to have an HD Audio Path and this disc wont play either...

first of all, thank you for this plugin.... it is very useful.

i'm sure this has already been asked, but is it ever going to be possible to eventually work this plugin into supporting the actual BD menu?

for me, this is really the last feature i could ever want from mediaportal (aside from maybe linux support), after which it can do pretty much anything (without using external players).

    thanks again
