    howdy

i decided to give this a whirl..and it works great!

only problem is the MPADecFilter.ax ....sigh...i always get 14 fps only and that means TONS of dropped frames...so playback quite bad

if only i knew why that happens...

i can make MKV's work with SAF 5 ..using the ffdshow audio filter...and get PERFECT results...it just doesnt like m2ts files ....oh well

you've got some configuration error, because m2ts files work perfectly for me.... and if bluray handler is working for you... it's essentially the same thing... as it's really just a playlist of m2ts files...

keep at it and you will get it working....

(i'm using saf 5 as well (unlocked version))...

what graphics card are u using?
are u using spdif for audio out?
what video decoder do u use? cyberlink or ffdshow dxva?

right now i have an eVGA 8800GTS in there... for audio i am using the optical out (toslink)... i had to RMA this board recently (eVGA 780i chipset) and was using stereo outs (digital outs failed), doesn't seem to matter... everything still worked fine.

i'm using ffdshow at the moment... essentially the default settings for SAF 5. that doesn't mean you should try it other ways though....

what OS are you running? i've had issues with windows 7 (specifically framerate related issues that i could never fix), but XP always runs nicely and that's what i'm back to (MCE 2005).

do you have powerdvd installed? because that caused big problems for me when i tried to run both (for the times when you'd want to see the blu-ray menu).

one workaround you might try is ditch the bluray handler and just use external player (powerdvd)... which i did for a long time...

so i see that this plugin works..but my real problem is playing 5.1 and above audio from m2ts files

so i managed to get blu rays to work but only in 2 channel stereo.
the ffdshow(SAF 5) audio decoder will playback .m2ts files if they have 2 channel stereo(all passthru options off - like playing trailers or extras on a blu ray) ..but not the main movie (all passthru options on - returns to UI)
i find it odd as it works for everything else with passthru options on (mkv's, tv, etc...)

if i try using MPC-MPA audio decoder then i get very low framerate and its unwatchable(video and audio plays but unwatchable and slow)

wondering if its a audio hardware/software problem that could be fixed with a new soundcard or something

...back to hours of trial and error

i dont have powerdvd installed but its my next option...

oh by the way..in setting up this plugin ive lost xvid playback...sigh ..time to format

    Hi,

I succesfully installed the BD decoder and I am able to play BD iso's from MP.
What doesn't work is looking at subtitles. Using the remote, I'm able to select subtitles, but I don't see subs.
I registered MpegSplitter-V15 to the system, but do not know how to make use of it in MP.
Could you please direct how to use this in MP (maybe your answer could help in the TS for more users)

I am using MP for a few years now, but still it is very difficult for me to implement plugins looking at the descriptions (says more about me I'm affraid :) ).

Thanks for your help, hope to have been specific enough!

I know a little more now:

SAF 5 in combination with AC3filter (ac3filter is forced as ffd seems not able to output spdif) next problems

    - not able to switch audio in Blu Ray discs (german rip if No Country for old men forces the german language
    - subs ar not shown after 2 minutes, pause movie shows them again for a few minutes, again pause, etc.
    - some MKV's do noet start anymore.

I thorough howto is needed I think, hope to be able to drop that after solving the above...

the movie 2012 won't play but the movie hellboy plays fine.
The movie 2012 seems to start, my display says 0:00/total time and i get a black screen. But it never starts just keep black screen and saying 0:00

here are the mediainfo file of the movies:
