    Hey Guys-

I have spent the better part of the last two weeks and literally every waking hour of this last weekend trying to get the forced subs to display. I have a thread explaining everything here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...btitles-not-showing-blurays-92279/#post704584

I even just read all 38 pages of this thread and saw it mentioned a few times but haven't seen a solution or if there was, I clearly didn't understand what to do....I know it should work from several users stating that they had no issues and the forced subs were displayed. I don't know if it's related to this plug-in or not.

    Help. Please.

Per Hoborg's suggestion, I reinstalled SAF 5, this time enabling the subtitles during installation. Still nothing until enabling "Automatically load subtitles" in MePo contrary to the suggestion. This was the only way to get anything to show. Now on movies with forced subs, they are there. Unfortunately, on movies that do not have forced, all of the subs are showing unless I manually turn them off every time I start the movie. >.<

EDIT: As it turns out, they only showed up after Bluray Handler broke because of the change in MPegSplitter versioning when reinstalling saf500svn20110119_msvc2010. If I use the version of MPegSplitter.ax Sebastiii posted here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...iguration-issues-92200/index2.html#post703399 then the plug-in works but the subs are gone and playback is choppy especially if trying to skip/search scenes.

    Hi,

First of all, I would like to say I find this an excellent idea to try Blue ray disks working from inside Mediaportal, thanks for all the effort so far.

I have installed the BD handler per the instructions, checked that it is active, however when I click index.bdmv in Mediaportal/My video, I got the message "Cannot play this movie" (or something like that, in dutch)

    Registered the last Beta (1.4.2860 MVC2010 ) MpegSplitter.ax in /windows/system32 folder with regsvr32
I can watch Mt2s files from within Mediaportal (already before installing the BD handller)
Added .bdmv to the video extension list
Added.mpls to the video extension list.
Installed AnyDVD HD, but this did not help solve the problem.

Blue Rays play just fine with TotalMedia player 5.

I am now not at my HTPC, will add a Log tonight.

For my system details, click My System on the left.

Any idea what I should try to solve this? I suspect the MpegSplitter.ax is of the wrong version, please state the latest version that should work, as this is not very clear in the first post.

    Thanks,

    Lots

Have you registered matroskasplitter.ax and mpcvideodec.ax?

No, because the instructions in the first post do not ask for that, but I will try when I am home.

BTW, I do have installed the Haali/Matroska mediasplitter, to be able to play MKV files, arent these included in that install?

    Thanks anyways,

    Lots

Many thanks for the hard work on such a valuable player but I'm completely lost getting things started. I don't understand how anybody can follow these installation instructions.

    'Installation

Unzip the archive and copy the DLL into the "Mediaportal/plugins/proces" folder.
Make sure the plugin is enabled in your configuration (default should be enabled)'

    I don't have a Mediaportal/plugins/proces folder....? Am using 1.1.2.0. So should I create such a folder?

How exactly do you enable the plugin in your configuration? That sentence seems to combine about 14 steps into one. My best interpretation is to open configuration, go to plugins and then click on 'Browse and install new plugins'. My next guess is to go to 'Options' and 'Install local extension' but it asks for a .mpe1 file and there isn't one of those in the downloads here.

The (ProgramFolderName) depends on your OS. BTW fill out and show your Sysspecs.!

To find the folder you may have to enable "View System folders and files" in explorer advanced view settings

For the plugin, once installed you can find it in Mediaportal Configuration/Plugins right click on the BD Handler and check if it is enabled, if not click on enable to do so.

Many thanks Lotsofjazz, that tip let me see the directory.

I got mpegsplitter.ax from the stand alone filters here:

Media Player Classic - Home Cinema - Browse Files at SourceForge.net

I made sure that .mt2s files were using Gabest using CodecTweakTool.

As an XP user I also had to install UDF 2.5 drivers, otherwise MP couldn't tell that there was a disc in the drive.

That all took quite a while but in the end everything is now working fine. I'm very happy!
