No way. American law isn't applicable "anywhere in the world". You can still rip blurays in DPRK :)

if a product like bluray is copyprotected, in germany you are not allowed to remove the copy protection or copy the bluray or rip it to disc. Thats the reason why programs to crack copy protection are not sold in germany.
Cracking copy protection in germany is illegal.
I've never seen AnyDCD in Media Markt ;)

    @ mickey2eyes

don't tell me --- i know the law
and the "problems" of copy protected content...

    :D

hmm i think we should give armandP his thread back for the "blurayhandler"...

copy protection and the law discussion could start in a new thread ...

    ffdshow does not start

    Hi,

nice tool, and after some configuration it works for most blurays, :D

I have ffdshow configuratedfor all audio output (tv, video, dvd ...), however when playing some blurays (e.g. HP 5 and Casino Royale), ffdshow does not start, and only rnadom noise is produced.
Has anybody an idea how to change this?

[update] is solved this by adding "ffdshow audio" to the video post processings.... [/update]

When playing back Blu-ray rips in MePo\Moving Pictures and forwarding\rewiniding, the sound becomes choppy and the light on the receiver flashes.

This normal? Otherwise, it seems to plays fine if i don't forward\rewind.

I have another post open on this subject and it was recommended that I post here to see if anyone can help.

I am having an issue playing .bdmv files. I get the message "Unable to Play: index.bdmv"

I can play the .mt2s file direct.

I was having an issue with BDHandler loading, but I have fixed that by using a different version of the stand-alone filters.

I am including the latest log files and the link to my other post. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here is the link to the other post:
