hmm well I on top of page is version 0.97.27 on page 49 you will find version 0.97.29 which I assume is more actual than the one on page one...
... and sebastii stated.. "Hi look few pages before, there is some new version." so it is definitely not on the first page nor on code.google , it is just 48 pages later... sorry....

    Hi,

    I didn't have it :(
Yep it's strange, maybe a bug in MP or LAVF.
It would be nice to see if you can find the .mpls of the movie (you can find it with BDInfo tools) and try to associate .mpls with lavf and open it in graphstudio.
    Can you post log ?
    Thanks :)

Well there ya go. Just grabbed a screenshot of the mpls report from BDInfo, cleared the MP logs, launched MP, went to moving pictures, selected Bolt, clicked play and...... Bingo. The feature menu appeared. Selected the main feature and it played just fine.

Nothings changed. Not even a system reboot since this morning. Guess I'll have to chalk it down to "one of those things".

Thanks for responding and sorry to waste your time.

If it happens again I'll grab a log immediately.

All the best and thanks again,

    Wo0zy

Can anyone (Sebastiii :D) tell me what the current position is with regard to the BD Handler and forced Subs?

Last I read MP 1.2beta needed updating for forced subs to work with LAV and the only solution was to use MPC splitter with MPC audio post processing. I haven't seen anything in the SVN logs to suggest that this has changed but where I'm unsure is whether the discussion I was reading related to forced subs in general or just to forced subs in mkvs.

I tried various things this morning with no luck (all based around LAV) and while I could get subs working using various methods forced subs never automagically appear.

The best I got was to get LAV to create the forced subs (auto) track which, when manually selected plays the forced subs perfectly (just not automatically).

Any information would be greatly appreciated before I continue to experiment.

    All the best,

    Wo0zy

Did I ask a silly question? or is this plugin not used as much as I'd assumed it would be?

Maybe automatic forced subs isn't a big issue. I'm living with it after all.

Anyway, I hope to get a bit of time over the weekend to experiment some more:)

    All the best,

Hi Wo0zy, best thing about subs is.. to look in the doom9 forum .. as the plugin as far as I see is not dealing with it.. I remember that somewhere in the forum LAV Filters - DirectShow Media Splitter and Decoders - Doom9's Forum nevcairiel explained that...

    regards robertino

    Thanks mate,
Yeah, I've been following Nev's work closely and have things working the way I expect in MPC HC using his splitter. I'm assuming the same isn't possible in MP ATM. The discussion I mentioned suggests an update is required to the MPCSub code but I wasn't sure if this applied to the BD handler or just MKV playback. Logic says both but I was asking for confirmation before investigating further.

    Thanks for replying mate,

    All the best,

    Hi :)

Didn't have the time to look closer, i use full sub, i have setup something about forced sub but the method is ugly in code (for LAVF with mkv) but i think it should work for BD too :p.
I will try to make special dll in few days for this :) (and for testing lol)
    Thanks,
    Seb.
