    :(

Doesn't work for me either mate.

Moving pictures seems to handle ISO mounting completely differently (maybe bypasses the MP autoplay feature and uses its own?). I have MP's video Autoplay set to "ask what to do". Launching from videos I get the Autoplay message asking if I want to play the inserted disc before the BDH selection menu appears (this is assuming no video is currently playing of course :)). If I launch from Moving Pictures there is no Autoplay message at all. Just a spinning circle and a few seconds later the selection menu appears.

Now, here's the odd thing. If I try and play a DVD ISO from "Videos" while TV (or other video source) is still playing, the movie starts fine BUT there is no Autoplay message. The ISO just mounts and starts playing

    All the best,

    Mick

    Hi Seb,

Could be way off the mark (usually am with this stuff :D) but found the following notes in g_player.cs

// when a user is already playing a file without stopping the user selects another file for playback.
// in this case we do not receive the onstopped event.
// so saving the resume point of a video file is not happening, since this relies on the onstopped event.
// instead a plugin now has to listen to ChangedHandler event instead.

    Any help?

    All the best,

    Mick.

    Thanks Mick,

I have look it and seems that it's not where we have to look :)

With help of Manfred and Deda to give me where to look, i think we have maybe a way :p, this is a new bdhandler.dll and core.dll (needed for autoplay). And the last is adding of warning when the disc is protected, like this MP should not freeze anymore :p

Would be nice to have feedback for this :

1- Different play with or without video playing / with different mounting soft i.e VCD or Deamontools).
2- Test with anydvd or other similar soft (turned OFF) if we get the message :)

    Thanks :)
    Seb.

Nice one Seb. You the man!:D

Didn't think for one minute that I'd have any useful input when it comes to development but I'll sure test the hell out of it for you!:D

Deda fixed something else for me today as well as being involved in this so thanks to him (and Manfred) too! :D

    Will report back later mate.

    All the best,

    Mick

Hello. I installed blu-ray handler for the first time today. It works for me. I have daemon tools lite + anydvd hd installed and I can play a blu-ray disc with no problems. Tested with Ironman2 blu-ray disc. After the movie I went and disabled anydvd hd and I can confirm that I get a message saying that the disc is either protected or a "bad disc". So far so good! I did see a weird thing happen, though. I have a TV-card in my HTPC and I still had the Ironman2 disc inside my blu-ray drive and I went to see TV and then I get prompted about a disc being inserted and which feature I would like to see. I can't reproduce this thing, at least for now, so hopefully it was just some weird alignment of the planets or something :D

Anyway, thanks for the great plugin! :D Mediaportal has come one step closer to being the only program I have to use to entertain myself. I can now ditch Powerdvd 10 with no regrets! I will keep on testing this plugin and will report back, if I have something to report.

    Hi Seb,

Got a little testing in tonight.

Nice work! It appears that you've fixed the issue of starting playback from "videos" while another video is sttill playing! :)

But... and there's always a but ;) the fix seems to have broken the ability to resume playback. The option no longer appears.

Other than that , looking good mate. I'll try to test a couple of protected discs tomorrow.

The last issue I have (mentioned before but minor) is that when launching playback from "videos", metadata is unavailable when pressing the context menu ("y" on the keyboard or "i" on an MCE remote). The mpls number is parsed rather than the movie details. Still not sure if this can be fixed but it does work when launching from Moving Pictures.

Will do some more testing tomorrow and report my results but from the results so far this is another major step forward so a big :D

    All the best,

    Mick

About prompted disk, yeah the change i made is to accept mounting/load discs even if something is playing.
But it's strange that it's try to load it alone when start TV, i will try on my side too :).

For me, i think it was like this before (but not 100% sure), resume playback only works when i open index.bdmv. But didn't happen on ISO.

Yeah, i don't know if it's possible to do like Movpic, i think yes if we going in Title view with movie integrate in DB on myvideo.
Without DB, myvideo take the filemane of the played movie, here for BD it's .mpls. So it's normal.
Within MovPic, it's the database movie :).

Thanks again for testing too :) i have see your answer this night but not the courage to answer lol.

    Hi Seb,

The option to resume playback still works for mounted ISO's when using Moving Pictures. I guess I just never noticed the option was missing before when using myvideos ;)

Re the metadata issue. All movies are in the DB and I am launching from title view but the .mpls is still being parsed mate.

Don't blame you for not answering last night. It was actually 1:30am here when I posted

    All the best,

    Mick.
