There's a few audio glitches such as if I try to resume the playback of a BluRay it doesn't always play the audio track and I have to manually select a different one. Also, I am unable to skip back/forward through the movie. MP just seems to freeze if I do that. Apart from those minor things this plugin works like a charm. It's really nice to have BD support in MP. Thanks for all your hard work.

    Hi modtang,

Both chapter skip and FF/REW seem to work OK for me. What version of LAV Splitter are you running and what audio/video decoders are you using?

I'm running LAV 0.29 (splitter and audio decoder) and using the Arcsoft Video decoder.

I've also not seen the audio stream issue but if it's intermittent then maybe it's only a matter of time :).

    All the best,

    Mick.

    AW: Bluray Handler 0.9.7 (BETA)

    Hello!
I installed VCD too, mounting works nice now but the strange error window popped up again.
The problem was that I had to disable the Win7 autoplay option for blurays from "Arcsoft TMT3" (which I uninstalled some time ago - thats why the error window) to "Do nothing"

Now everything works good so far. Thanks for your work!

But one thing I noticed: In the Video OSD no logos were displayed except the subtitle logo. Is this a known bug? I'm playing blurays from within Moving Pictures.

    Hi Seb,

    Sorry to bother you mate.

I've found another little problem again related to launching a BD ISO from the native video library.

If you have a live TV channel running then go to videos and attempt to play a BD, MP goes back to fullscreen TV and BD Handler doesn't appear to initialise.

Doing the same thing from Moving Pictures results in live TV stopping and the movie initialising correctly.

I've attached a mediaportal log for both scenarios for your reference.

Don't know if anything can be done about this or not without working on the "video" code rather than BD Handler??

If you want any further information or would like me to test anything, just ask.

BTW, if you're talking to any of the other devs please let them know that removing transport controls from full screen video is a BAD idea  :D

    All the best,

    Mick.

PS Regarding the other minor issue of missing metadata in the videoOSD when launching from "Videos", it appears that the ".mpls" name is parsed rather than the "title" field resulting in a failed BD lookup. Seems Moving Pictures must handle this very differently but from a quick look at the code I suspect fixing it is beyond me at this stage :(. Happy to post some logs if you fancy giving it a go but as Moving Pictures is working fine I guess that's a good enough fix ;)

    hi :)

Yep, i saw this too (from myvideo, it didn't stop TV when try to load BD) i think it happen too when play a video in OnlineVideo.
So it doesn't work well when a video is playing (TV/OnlineVideo etc.) when trying to start to play an iso.
And also seems that not working good when trying to start from "Play disc"
Didn't look the code closer but i not really sure if it's related to BDH. Will ask team :)

BTW, if you're talking to any of the other devs please let them know that removing transport controls from full screen video is a BAD idea  :D

I didn't understand, can you explain me more please :)

    Thanks,
    Seb.

    Hi Seb,

With latest SVN with the Default skin, play a video in full screen (doesn't matter what) and move your mouse.

Before the last couple of SVN's the topbar would appear with the transport controls (Play, Stop, FF, REW, etc) and the close, back, etc buttons. This no longer happens??

With the fidelity skin, the "topbar" still appears when you move the mouse in full screen video but none of the buttons actually work.

In both skins if you return to the home page the topbar buttons work again

Could be something to do with the changes made in 27979? I'll see if I can confirm that.

    All the best,

    Mick.

Edit. Looks like it's just a skin issue. The "mytvFullScreen.xml" has the "disabletopbar" value set to "true". Wonder if there's a good reason for that?

Just wanted to ask this: what happens, if you try to play a copy protected BluRay, without having AnyDVD HD installed?

I tried that recently, just to see what happens. MediaPortal basically froze until I ejected the BD again. Just wanted to know if this expected behavior ;)

Effectively, when BD is protected, BDHandler try to red data but it can't and so MP Freeze until BDH Finish scan (can take times)
I try to look if we can add a checked on this :) it would be nice for sure :)

Will try to catch SilentException for that :) and give to look here :)
HE is the best to answer that :)
    Thanks :)

    Hi,

I think it's ok now for autoplay (disk and Iso) when TV is started or other Video running :)
    Thanks :)

Thanks Seb. That was quick work mate.:)

    Will test later.

Another question :DHave you adjusted any timings in the last releases? I've had a few instances recently where I start playback, the selection menu appears, I select the feature, the screen goes black and the selection menu appears again. If I then select the feature for the second time I get an on screen message saying unable to play.

If I start playback again afterwards all works fine.

I haven't been able to find a pattern yet. Will grab the logs next time it happens.

As always, thanks for your work!

    All the best,

    Mick

    Hi,

No, i didn't change any timing (i think not lol), i just change the check if actually something is playing or not. Maybe it change some timing but not sure.

Btw :) try eventually this new version too, i didn't find a good way to show that the BD is Protected, but now if it is, we can't it.
I think it's better than force to close MP.

I have added a check if playlist/stream etc. can't be read, after list feature, we have a message that we are unable to play it.
    Thanks :)
