    Hey :)

    Take your time :)

In first patch 1, i use a hack (audio part for sub part, not really nice lol) to parse the filter to make detection of subname.
In second patch, i use the right way to get splitter (here LAV) and i have tested on few BD and all seems ok :)
    Cheers,
    Seb.

Thanks for explaining. Nice work :)

I see over at Doom9, Nev didn't give my last idea much consideration. Even coming from you! Guess he's got bigger things on the go (respect )

I do get the impression he's not an MP fan

J River gets all the love ;)

    All the best,

    Mick

    Hi Seb,

Did a couple of quick tests today with latest SVN and patch 2. Working well mate.:)

One minor thing I noticed today. It's not a BD Handler issue per sa but I'll mention it anyway just in case you can think of a quick fix :D

If you start playback from moving pictures then press the menu button the metadata for the movie is present. If you launch the movie from within the built in videos library it isn't. I suspect it's something to do with the way the MP code identifies the playing title prior to looking up the details in its database? Not sure what Moving Pictures does differently here but I guess I can work my way through the code if you can't think of a quick fix and like I said, it really is only a minor thing.

Regarding the OSD issues, these seem to have gone too except it appears that "topbar" controls seem to be disabled in full screen video playback. The default skin has been updated to reflect this whereas fidelity hasn't so the.controls still appear but don't work. I'll make the simple change in the fidelity xml later.

Once again, thanks for the great work on this plugin and your work in general improving MP. :D

    All the best,

    Mick

    Hello!
Is it possible to play Bluray .iso files in MediaPortal by mounting it? Or do I necessarily need a software like PowerDVD/TMT?
    Thanks!

    Hi Holzi,

Yes, it is. That's exactly what I'm using this plugin for :).

You don't get BD menu support (see my post to D3ltoroxp further up the page) but, providing you've set things up correctly (splitters, filters, plugins, Image Mounting, etc) you'll be watching the main feature in your BD ISO's WITHIN MediaPortal in no time.

Be sure to get the correct version of Seb's BD Handler re-work for your version of MP and head over to LAV Filters - DirectShow Media Splitter and Decoders - Doom9's Forum for the latest LAV splitter and audio decoder (if you haven't already :)).

    All the best,

    Mick.

Which version of BD Handler would you recommend? I got it working with a small error coming from mounting. I can click OK and then the error window disappears and all is working fine. Which software to mount are you using? I have DT Light..

There's a few audio glitches such as if I try to resume the playback of a BluRay it doesn't always play the audio track and I have to manually select a different one. Also, I am unable to skip back/forward through the movie. MP just seems to freeze if I do that. Apart from those minor things this plugin works like a charm. It's really nice to have BD support in MP. Thanks for all your hard work.

    Hi Seb,

    Sorry to bother you mate.

I've found another little problem again related to launching a BD ISO from the native video library.

If you have a live TV channel running then go to videos and attempt to play a BD, MP goes back to fullscreen TV and BD Handler doesn't appear to initialise.

Doing the same thing from Moving Pictures results in live TV stopping and the movie initialising correctly.

I've attached a mediaportal log for both scenarios for your reference.

Don't know if anything can be done about this or not without working on the "video" code rather than BD Handler??

If you want any further information or would like me to test anything, just ask.

BTW, if you're talking to any of the other devs please let them know that removing transport controls from full screen video is a BAD idea  :D

    All the best,

    Mick.

PS Regarding the other minor issue of missing metadata in the videoOSD when launching from "Videos", it appears that the ".mpls" name is parsed rather than the "title" field resulting in a failed BD lookup. Seems Moving Pictures must handle this very differently but from a quick look at the code I suspect fixing it is beyond me at this stage :(. Happy to post some logs if you fancy giving it a go but as Moving Pictures is working fine I guess that's a good enough fix ;)
