Hello, I've to report a strange behaviour of TVServer (TVServer + Mediaportal in Single Seat):
Watching TV is always ok (switching channels, timeshift, and so on).
When I record TV shows, often the .ts file created is "broken":
- Sometimes it crashes or freezes mediaportal (and VLC media player is not able to open/play the file);
- Sometimes it works, maybe for 5/10 minutes, and then freezes (playing with VLC, I can see it for 5/10 minutes, then the VLC time counter goes "crazy"). When this happen, Mediaportal reports a wrong time duration of the recorded show (something like 12 hours, 41 hours, and so on.), and it's impossible to skip forward.
- Sometimes (not so often...) recorded files works ok (both in Mediaportal and in VLC media player)
This behaviour is here since a few SVNs (uhm, two weeks? Don't remember SVN numbers).
I'll exclude Mediaportal from problem determination 'cause VLC also is unable to open/play buggy files, so I think it's something related to TVserver recording (...I'm wondering why watching TV works always well...). BTW, I've tried in Mediaportal the new tsreader, ffdshow codec, MPV and MPA codecs, same result (only a few slight differences).
I'm using .TS as recording format; I've tried MPEG also (some SVN ago), with same (or worse) results. Also, the problem doesn't seem to be related to a specific transponder or channel (I'm using only the DVB-T tuner), or a specific time of the day. It happens... No strange CPU or memory condition, or resource-hog applications.
Of course, TVserver brokes _always_ the most important show recordings ("Heroes" and other serials), and sometimes I'm able to view the less important recording!
I've collected TVServer logs; also, I've extracted from TSwriter.log logs related to a good recorded show, and a bad recorded show (can play the first 5 minutes...). In log, there are 4 recording this night (24/09 -> 25/09), 3 bad and only 1 good...
