    Hi,

I´ve just tried to install Browse the Web but the MPEInstaller crashed shortly after the Configuration has opnened.
Mediaportal Config crashes also if I´m trying to open the Browse the Web configuration....
Needles to say that Mediaportal doesn´t start anymore and crashes upon startup.

Any hints? Did I´ve to install some additional Software ?

My father used to tell me that the first sign of madness is talking to yourself......the second sign is when they start talking back!

Thanks for your time and effort. (y)

Or getting into an argument with your mirror image :)

Can you post the contents of C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xulrunner and the browsetheweb.dll from programfiles\team mediaportal\mediaportal\plugins\windows ?

    Hi...

Sorry for the delay. I've uninstalled Mediaportal and made a complete new install, because this installation was my "Test" installation and not for Day by Day usage.

Browse the Web installed without any Problem and is running perfect.

    Version 1.0.0 released!

Somehow, the MPEInstaller won't pick up the new versions, but here is the place to be!

I deliberately set the status to "Testing" so I hopefully don't get a lot of angry users saying it won't work :)

I tested it and first it didn't work and I got an error message. See Bild001.png
I looked in the mediaportal.log and found:

The line "Could not find xulrunner under : C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xulrunner" got my attention, so I copied the xulrunner.zip from the mpei to the cache, but this was the same file, but when I copied the folder from inside the xulrunner.zip to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xulrunner and it was different. So the xulrunner.zip was not unpacked during start or installation of BrowseThe Web.

After the manuell copy it is working.

Strange, the way it should work is that uninstall oldversion removes the old xulrunner.zip, and the installation of the new version puts the new xulrunner.zip in place.
After that, when the setup is started, the old xulrunner folder is removed and the new xulrunner.zip is extracted in the programdata.

Well, that's weird. I did check things at my end (2 pc's).

Did any of you first install 0.3.11? Perhaps (wild guess) that could be why it works here and not at other places?

Btw, I did create a new installer for the next version, which doesn't rely on the xulrunner.zip anymore, so hopefully that works out better in the future

I will test asap to delete the plugin using our extensionsinstaller, check if the urlunner folder is deleted and try to do a fresh install of the plugin to see if that is working..
